@danger_mouse wondering if I could hit you up with some questions regarding my te511? Battery is not getting charged while riding so I think it my stator. Do I have to set it to TDC to remove stator?

Hi there. No, you don't need to set up on TDC to remove the stator. Usually the stator is only physically damaged by a loose screw, they rarely just fail electrically. The easiest way to check is to remove the forward filer screen plug and look for pieces of damaged copper. If that is OK, you can measure the resistance of the 3 yellow stator wires between each other and confirm the same readings. If they're OK, most likely to be the regulator.

You rock man! Let me check your recommendations. Wouldn’t I be able to hear a loose screw? I have changed the voltage regulator but may send it in to get it checked . Problem i ran into last time was finding a compatible one. Today I was chasing the three connectors that come out of the stator. Still need to find one, very tight space. Maybe time to buy the new husky

@@delacruzjavi The '3 yellow wires' are inside one sheath, they all go to a single 3 pin plug. So really only that sheath and a second one with two wires for the ignition pick-up. Don't buy a 'new Husky'... It's just a KTM 😒 If you are looking at newer bikes, try out the Sherco range. Better handling and nicer to ride 👌

I found the three yellow and the ignition pick up.. going to check the mesh filter today and likely open her up. Sherco hadn’t really considered that one. I did see that you upgraded to one. And from your videos seems like your really digging on it

Does Sherco have a dual sport? Their 500 doesn’t appear to be set up for street use
