Given the fact that they are the age they are in the 1960s, that means they would’ve been around in the 1940s during World War II, if they even had one in this universe, so I think it would be cool to see versions of Cap, Bucky, Peggy and Howard, maybe Erskine survives in this universe and collaborates with Reed?

The history of the characters has changed over the years but originally both Reed and Ben served during World War II. Reed was 22 in 1941 when the US entered the war. Ben was a couple years younger. Sue was 9 years younger than Reed, and of course Johnny was only a baby in 1941. I am sure that this will not be their history in the reboot, tho.

I think you are right. This is the MCU combining the three properties they own the right to into one universe. A soft reboot.

God, Ralph Ineson is genuinely SUCH a good voice, I’m so excited to see him in this movie ❤

To be honest I think it will be cool that the F4 are the only heroes in their universe. And once they join the main MCU universe they’ll have to learn to coincide with all the other heroes

I'm really hoping for an alternate universe Tony Stark! It'd be so cool to see him and Reed collaborate on solving a problem. Since, if/when this Reed ends up in the main continuity, we won't have a Tony for him to work with 😢

Since Leech is part of the future foundation, I'm curious if this movie will also introduce mutants as well. And if the MCU is still going through with Kang then it would make sense to have Susan and Reed have kids. Kang is a blood descendant of Susan and Reed.

7:30 I still think the MCU Fantastic Four coming from an alternate universe in the 60's would raise a lot of questions tbh, i.e.: - why wouldn't they be trying to get back to their home universe? - what happened to their home universe? was it destroyed? if so, why were they the only ones to survive? - are there 616 variants of the Fantastic Four that exist today or existed in the 60s? - are they gonna be a fish out of water (like Steve Rogers) if they're from the 60s? etc

​@@JC1985_DBHonestly, if it takes its cue from the most recent Secret Wars, Fantastic Four is quite well positioned to further this Multiverse Saga phase, and make what didn't feel cohesive be cohesive. The best setup revisits Incursions and ties to Multiverse of Madness (simply by the FF world experiencing one), then makes implications for worlds glimpsed or visited during Spidey 3 and The Marvels; and could recontextualize Kang as connected to the Incursions, then lead to Secret Wars (that would wrap up the saga with a big adventure in an amalgamated Earth - joined up as a solution to Incursions). It would actually make the recent phases' disjointedness come together (even the pocket dimension of Shang Chi could be dragged into the amalgamated Battle World of Secret Wars).

They are MARVEL'S First Family. If this movie delivers then we are on our way to a great cycle of M.C.U. Films. Getting excited!!

It would also make sense to see that as a diverged history based on the MCU's 1960s, meaning Peter's parents or grandparents would be active instead of him, and maybe there's a spider-powered young Uncle Ben or Aunt May instead. Young Howard Stark, Hank Pym and/or T'Chaka would make sense - and would imply that if the 616 had a Reed Richards he already lived his life non-powered to probably the '80s or '90s

Of all the MCU movies that have been announced, The Fantastic Four is the is what I've been waiting for as, it was the first comic I read.. and that was a long long time ago.!

I have a Galactus theory. When incursions happen Galactus comes in as the multiversal janitor and devours the universe going under and incursion

I believe that the Fantastic Four would work better as an extended episode series, but this big movie introduction to the MCU sounds like a good idea. I have suggested that they are brought into the MCU with their 1960's personalities, ethics and morals. Their anachronistic interaction with modern times would be fun to watch.

Maybe Galactus wants to eat the Earth to prevent an incursion?

This and Deadpool 3 are the only marvel movies that I’m currently excited for right now

It’s crazy to think how there’s no footage and no concept are shown yet and you can already start feeling for these characters dealing with a cataclysm, especially with Pedro Pascal casted as Reed. What if by the end of F4, Sue is pregnant, which could be Reeds main drive to why they cant stay with the sinking ship and slip through to our proper mcu reality, and I feel the only way it’s possible, is if there happens to be an incursion as galactus is starting to devour earth

Tremendous amount hype behind this project. Let’s hope the can sit the landing on this one.

You know, this isn’t the first time that a Marvel movie takes place in the 1960s. The first time was X-Men: First Class (2011), which is my favorite X-Men movie.

I cant wait to spot the Jack Kirby references, the council of Reeds is probably Gruffudd, Krasinski, Pascal and copies of them, this movie will blow our minds, talk about getting major geeked out goosebumps here..

When you were talking about Kevin Friday and mentioned how he listens to podcasts and watch KZread it made me wonder... How many little "Easter Eggs" have been added in films by CGI teams that aren't part of the big story, like the potato asteroid in Star Wars, that Marvel is taking from fans spotting them to develope future stories. One instance I can think of is the 2nd Ironman movie, courtroom scene where Tony had the Illuminati on his phone. That didn't grow into the story it could have but could have been added as a little nod from a fan working on the VFX

A futuristic looking 60’s. Kind of like fallout type of vibe but minus the apocalypse aspects. So not only an alternate universe but timeline as well. An earth that was way more advanced in the 60’s while maintaining its aesthetics. They’re going for it alright & im there.
