Fake Food, Real Art: Crafting Display Delicacies

In Japan, it's customary for restaurants to display their offerings inside their front windows. Think restaurant window shopping. The displays come from one city only: Gujo. This ancient town is the epicenter of artificial food. The people who make the displays are real artists, but the "food" they create is not.

I wanna know how marketable this is and who else are their customers cause as per the video they are making a lot, and if youre telling me those are for restaurants then they should only need one or two of those displays per dish and I don't think they'll order again cuz that'll last along time. And they are making a lot so I don't think there are that may restaurants with that many orders in Japan. So... just had me thinking hehehe.

" only when i took a closer look that i noticed that it's actually plastic. These should also be a thing in mc donalds, wendy's, and other more fast food chains so the customers wuld not be disappointed when the food they were served would look like shit compared to the picture on their menu

Very interesting video! Can't help but feel this 'art' (because I do admire the incredible craftsmanship!) is really ironic in its purpose as our supply chains in the food sector are getting more polluted by (micro-)plastics every year. One day, replica and real food might become just a different grade of toxic consumables.
