I think the best way to learn art is to observe. You don’t always have to be formally taught. I’m studying to become a writer, and when I say “studying” I mean that I’m reading books. And it works. My scores in English in school have always been through the roof, not because I like to sit and learn all the time, but because reading books and experimenting with writing enough just teaches me what’s natural. I think that in the same way, observing drawings, sculptures, etc. and experimenting while recreating stuff like that is really enough to get a sense for it.

My mom used to be a lunch lady and they mostly just buy the food and they just reheat it. I think in other places they actually cook it idk but the food is pretty nasty. My mom also saw people changing the dates of the milk and she left that school cuz like- she don’t want any trouble

Sometimes they do use real food but don’t eat it bc they have to keep redoing scenes so if they are it every time they had to redo it

Finally youtube recommended me a good video during quarantine

I can just imagine on April fools day one of them is like "Kids breakfast is ready" then when they try to eat it, it tastes all weird. Then it really is just fake food they used to prank you lol

For what I know, In the very beginning of the shoot of Harry Potter, all the foods are real but all of it were just wasted because it's all have been spoiled. So because of that, they make fake foods for the foods the cast will not eat for the scene but there still real foods and that's what they eat... 😊 hahaha sorry if that's too long.

this is a great idea and great work, i always thought all the food was real and i used to get mad at the scenes where they need to knock over tables with food or have food fights because it seemed like a waste of food.

In combo with the sound video, it’s very orienting to see how our perception of reality is distorted by electronic media.

Props to these ladies for their hard work ;)

If they're visibly eating it, it's most likely real. If it's just in the shot, it's most likely fake.

I don't think so everytime and everywhere fake foods are made..for movies or TV series.. It really hurts when actors throw away packs of food into the bin...

So this is the reason why *real food* doesn't look as great as shown in *Commercial*

Artulous no the artist takes time to prepare the burger to make it look that good then takes a picture. If people took the time to make burgers that looks that good your time and money would be wasted because they would probably charge 10x more than usual.

I'm just waiting for a "Why don't they use real food" comment. Edit: Found one.

Making fake food is such fun. I made a cake prop as an intern at a theatre, and it came out surprisingly realistic!

I remember when I always used to get super hungry when I saw the donuts Ms.Piggy had in Muppets

I make miniature polymer clay food charms and it's actually incredibly easy. You can even add soap scents to it to make it smell like real food.

This just reminds me of total drama action Were the character Owen it’s a table full of plastic food 😂 Anyone know what I’m talking about?
