FAF 4v4 | He Who Follows The Crowd...

Ойындар

It's high time we got rid of team numbers, and put something more meaningful in place for casts on TT. Today it's London vs Manchester, as England UK.
Future custom games will take place over various geographical areas, each new cast - a different area. We'll also get a free geography lesson thrown in. I will pick a few areas to begin with, centered on where the majority of viewing audience is from (best hope they win too...)
After a few games, we'll open it up to suggestions.
We'll recreate historical battles, attempt to rewrite history (at least in a virtual kinda way). It will add spice to things! It doesn't have to be cities, it could be a country, a continent, right down to different areas within a city (ie Queens vs Brooklyn in NY). Ultimately it's a bit of fun, anyone who can't hack a bit of fun will... well, join the only 2 people ever to have been banned. By sheer coincidence, both of these individuals were about 10 years of age (apparently).
The 2 team names chosen must be relatively well known. The 2 places chosen MUST line up on a map in the same appx way, as in the game is being played - eg North vs South, East v West, or North East vs South West etc.
For example, for a game to feature San Francisco vs New York game - SF is clearly west of NYC, so for this to work, it would have to be an East vs West setup (like a fields of isis). Note this will not apply for ranked games, as they are already named "Hotties v Coolies". I may make ocasion acceptions for 1v1 if players represent their country flag, but that's on Patreon content, speaking of which...

If you enjoy todays game - leave it a Thumbs Up. Comments are like gold dust for me. You can put a smile on my face, or make us all laugh, be impressed with your insight on some FAF skill - I learn many things here (eg ground firing 4-5 stacked donuts, insta-kill enemy ASF that go for the 'nut).
Finding out you enjoy these casts MAKES MY DAY. I also appreciate comments from people who point out where I'm going wrong, and what I can improve. They are responsible for many of the positive changes to the channel.
I've setup a way to support the channel for anyone willing to do so. I love casting games, and certainly don't require financial incentive to press record. If people enjoy my video content, and wish to help meet some of the costs involved, then great, and if it ever extends to the point it allows me to devote more time to casting, then the magic really begins. Leaving a tip behind is welcome, not expected. Thanks to Tommy for helping with channel artwork.

More information on Game / FAF community:
For those who like what they see, but aren’t entirely sure if they heard right, yes Forged Alliance is a game that’s 15 years old. You heard right, Fifteen! Kept alive & thriving, thanks to a fantastic team of people (where those words actually mean something). Check out FAForever (dot) com for information & quick start guide. The game is cheap enough on the steam store.
Legal: Tactical Takeover - this channel - found at / @fafcast is my own take as a "FAN / Commentary Channel". Any official FAF assets (including logo, name, lobby or core game) that feature in the making of this video should be seen as an incidental part of casting the game.

Finally, thank you for giving up some of your precious time today, I hope in return I made this hour we've spent a little brighter. Also, if you read this far, you’re something else! Then again, I wrote this far, so guess that makes 2 of us.

Great game very enjoyable! You are my favorite caster and I watch them all. GYLE, meme commander, willow, duelist, strategic launch. Only thing I wish you would do is lock on mass per tic on the scoreboard. Thanks

Having the mass income on the scoreboard all the time would be so nice.

Can't help but feel like if 3 of them had searched for the remaining 1 comm they could have spit out enough torps to kill him - but that's easy for me to say watching spectator XD

Topical naming of the sides there 😅. Love the simple graphics to speed the intro by the way, really feels like you are refining your style. 👍

I will definitely restart playing this winter... I was just too busy during the summer due to the type of job I do, and didn't have the energy for the game, but I really want to play. Probably will play like a 500-700 noob despite my high-Joe current rank of 1300... after more than two years of pause. Oh well, it will balance, but I'll probably disappoint a lot of players until that moment.

i must say this is a pretty boring match to watch (im currently at 22:29 min) and i can already tell north guy will win my reason is: 1 knows waht to do than 3 guys with 0 comms. its a pattern you see way too much sadly in this game from waht i can observe, the player dont coordinate good enough so the scenario mid game in a 1vx the last surviving guy almost in all cases wins if he got enough mass points fromm his killed allies. way too predictable.

Yeah, and 1400 is definitely not noob level. I call that "High Joe", as in, average player but on the good side ("Pro" would start at 1500+) Single player with all the mass can quickly focus that mass on the big heavy toys, while the enemy spread out has much less to respond with, unless they assist heavily or donate mass/energy. I've been in this situation many times in the past in full-share games, where people died and I inherited their stuff one way or another, which almost immediately allowed me to rapidly upgrade mexes, build proper defenses where I was attacked and then stomp them with the big toys (And my highest rank ever was barely cracking 1300) The cases where I lost badly were when enemy team was on TS or other voice chat, and coordinated beyond my ability to respond.

I appreciate the feedback. I try to mix things up, perhaps I really need to throw in a few more "if it's going team 1's way to begin, and middle and late, then team 1 also wins" type games. To me, those are the boring games, but perhaps if I don't cast them, it becomes too obvious I don't. Point taken

Getting called "Manchester" at the start was already a big giveaway 😂
