So weird how people are afraid of bugs of all kinds and will run away but will pick up a crab with big claws no problem.

Can you predict a bug’s movements? Maybe some but flying ones, no. All crabs do is move left or right and you can pick them up at a certain angle in which it can’t reach

@@TheLinposterIsSus same with insects, anything other than a fly is very predictable, it's just that stigma of "ewww bugs are gross" really.

The crab shown in the image is commonly known as a Blue Crab. Its scientific name is Callinectes sapidus, and it's known for its blue claws and olive-green shell. Blue Crabs are typically found in the waters of the western Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.

A fact not mentioned is that blue crabs are known to often survive without both claws until they regenerate some new claws after a molt. Without claws, they can filter feed as well as eat directly from carion that they latch onto with their other claws. They are a very resilient crab. The most important fact about blue crabs are that they are very, very tasty.

i found a female one buried in sand next to some short grass in Greece. I saw something grey beneath the sand but realized it was a crab because i saw it move its eyes so i touched it with a stick and it wanted to fight me. it was the biggest crab ive ever seen and its the first crab i found since i came here on a vacation.
