It’s likely sub contracted out to the lowest bidder. There’s lots of independent shops that do the same clutches, converter, sol pack soft part overhaul. It’s a shame it’s this way and customers have no way to distinguish quality work from sub part work cause price definitely does not tell you. Thanks for sharing the story and promoting quality work.

I roll my eyes when a customer says the words factory reman. To me that equates to fixed as cheaply as possible with no aftermarket updates to address known issues.

Is it possible that these factory Raman transmissions are contracted out to "specialty" transmission shops? Or is there actual facilities owned by the big three that rebuild cores? It just can't be! that worn out bushing was terrible. thanks for sharing. The knowledge you share on transmissions is priceless.

In the general motors world, our reman products say "Remanufactured FOR general motors". Not BY GM. These units are being slapped together in a third world country sweat shop. Often you find mud under the silver spray paint
