The good thing about installing bigger tires on a v10, you dont need to worry about bad fule mileage since it sucks all ready.

If anything. Ill always take front slightly lower. (Like inch or less) but im a level guy myself. Leveled my 250. And threw some 35s on it
It's really great to break away and watch your videos. You have a great Channel. I'm just a regular guy who can't afford all the bells and whistles but I'm just looking forward to paying off my 06 FF350 and getting some work done on the engine to make sure we get as close to foolproof that old truck as we can to pull about a 28 foot travel trailer
Very cool Dale. The man knows what he likes.
It's like a "spring-sorber", Nice!

99 f250 superduty with that good ol 7.3 here and I can’t imagine having another old school truck, without a diesel wouldn’t even look at it. The old school international motor is insanely strong.. guy I got my truck from bought it new and pulled a gooseneck all the time and it’s got 268 on it now and it’s my daily driver and runs like a top
Looks great easy install, on a personal note I would clean up that exhaust tone. Otherwise it’s a nice truck that gets plenty of use. Now that boat, it would look really nice in Orange Lake having some fun. Great Video!!
Icon springs were the best upgrade for my 99. They’re a 10 leaf progressive and we’re might and say compared to the rough country the truck came with. Alcoa’s are cool unless you want a different look. Burritos are deep fried! Lol, and catfish Charlie’s across the street is pretty damn good 👍🏼
😎🇺🇸👍 Great Video nice upgrade, Alcoa wheels Happy Holidays 🎄
You know when the guys up north see how clean a 16+ year old truck is underneath they have to be jealous that it doesn’t take a torch and a air hammer to remove bolts great video
I love his f250 I even like that it's a gasser. Just a simple unapologetic truck. Those v10s are pretty powerful too.

Those are awesome fox stickers on those rancho shocks!! :) I’m looking to bring my truck back down a little from how tall it is hopefully these will help even more with ride hight. Thanks for the video!
My F350 came with Reyco/Granning Air Ride Suspension. Crew Cab Dually 8' bed. rides over railroad tracks like i am floating on 4 big marshmallows.
Keep the factory Alcoa rims! Its what sets the truck off! Beautiful looking truck buddy!
Nice upgrade, I don't care for a higher front end myself. I use steel wheels because of higher load rating.
Definitely a fan of the 7.3, mine just keeps on running. Looks like it was a little bit of lift, wasn't really able to tell the difference though
Around my part of the country we call the high front end the “Carolina Squat” it’s really big in SC. You’ll see lost of trucks like that cruising the strip in Myrtle Beach
Thanks for the video. There are no videos out there about the Sulastics for the front leaf-spring equipped Super Duties and I've been very curious about this upgrade. My '04 bounces and hops on concrete highways, I think this may be a good solution.
Ive lived in southeast Texas my whole life and I've never heard someone call it a breakfast taco😂
The American force wheels from your Chevy 3500 with the hauling bed would look great
Good video thanks
I'm sorry JD, but in my opinion, there is no such thing as an 'upgrade' from Alcoa wheels. Y'all have the best truck in Texas, if not the USA! Seriously, man, keep the Alcoas.
Thank you for the video. My 03 rides pretty harsh, I'm going to try these out. Definitely nose down looks way better. 😃

Now that you have air lift on the truck what's the ride like compared to the F350 also the 4:10 to 4:30. My 350 has a 4:30 it may cost me a little extra on long tows but I love the combination.
Cool 🤠🤙

@@scottpinardi4991 It used to ride extremely rough, the slightest bump in the road and your head would almost hit the roof if you sat in the back. The front wasn't that bad but it could give you a good jolt. Now it's a lot smoother and no where near as jolting when you hit a bump and your butt cheeks in the back don't catch air now when hitting a bump. I will say that if you do all four I highly recommend a large sway bar on the rear end for braking in corners. Without them the truck has a huge sway. I'm going to put one on the back and install all Poly in the Sway Bar and Leaf Spring Bushings. I've also heard that if you do a lot of rough off road they don't last but a few years. They are not easy to put in, I had to use come along and large pry bars and tape the washers together to make it easier to install them. I also had to grind them down a little flatter to get them in. It took 8 hours to get the front done and then another 8 to get the back ones in. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

@@scottpinardi4991 You're welcome, just get some BIG Harbor Freight Pry Bars, some jacks that you can raise the truck up with the tires off and a floor jack to raise and lower the pumpkin. I will tell you again it's not easy, at least for me it wasn't but I got it done. Go watch what few videos you can find on the installation. I do the back 1st. To do the front after I got the rear Shackles loose the springs shifted to the drivers side and I had to use a come along to pull it back towards the passenger side. Both sides front and back fought me like heck trying to get the shim washers in. Anyways that's just a little extra on what to expect. Once you get them in, the ride is a lot nicer. I have an 01 F350 Lariat Crew Cab 4x4 SRW Short Box.
Nice truck
Glad to see he was honest about why anyone would install a lift kit. He should have spent the money on some new headlight housings instead.
It’s my experience in a large truck I got an F3 50 long bed extended cab for by on 37’s when the Back sits a little lower than the front it handles better at high speeds in a turn just saying granted that’s not what it’s built for but when you’re in a hurry going down the freeway and you have that stance it’s more stable
Why are the front axles gone? In a big 4x4
I hate the back leaning that just makes it so much worse for towing I like it either level or front lower.
I have a 17 f450 platinum and went with 22” American force special forces quake model they look great and ride much better than 19.5 tires but I did loose some of my weight capacity on the tires witch is not that big of a deal as I will never max out my towing capacity witch is 32500
Is there a link to where I can purchase these for my 99 f-250 7.3
What size lift wheels and tires are on this truck I like the set up
You did a good job on that ,rusted bolts are a pain
Can you do a video on wheels for a f450 cause I can’t find any I like online
@3:00 would it be a upgrade to put a cast wheel on when Alcoas are drop forged?

This is the answer I am looking foe
I have a 06 F-250 V10 4x4 with a 8” lift on 37’s and the ride is very rough. Any ideas on what I could do? Thanks in advance.
Hey brother, I have a 2012 f250 4x4 4door. I replaced all 4 shocks with beilstein reservoirs, and I installed solastics in rear leaf springs. I still feel it a little rough. What else can I do?
My work truck is a 06 single cab f250. 6.0 diesel 6 speed. I did a 4.5 inch lift. Due to getting high centered too many times going to job sites. The lift looks nice and thats about it. It rides like dog crap. And, i did the complete lift, with new springs ect. Tough to beat factory ride......
American force wheels have dually options that r kool looking
I’ve got an ‘01 Excursion 7.3, It’s leveled and has airbags. The ride height and on road manners are fine but I do a lot of driving on dirt roads and the washboard sections just about kill me, it bounces so bad it’s starts drifting 3’-4’ laterally. Would the shackles help improve the off-road feel?
Hey Dale I have an 04 F 350 1 ton and I don't get the raised front, but to each his own. But my truck rides like a buck board, I have Timbrens in the back for my 5 th wheel do you think those Schlastics would make a difference.
Do the nuts only rely on a lock washer? I expected to see locknuts, nylock nuts or a safety wire. Something other than a lock washer.
Besides the front shackles is that the only thing you have on the suspension that is lifting the truck? It looks pretty high
I have a 2011 F450 Dually (obviously) in 2021 . Is there an option to put some of these in the back and the front???? My wife hates the neck breaking vibrations .
Like them Bluetooth axle shafts
So do you only put those on the front wheels? How much does it lift the truck more aprox. Just bought a f250 7.3 4x4 and want to upgrade suspension. Any advice would be appreciated like what shocks ext.
Make sure that whatever wheels you get, that you can get the hooks of your Hi-Lift 'Lift Mate' wheel lifter to attach securely. You don't need to be stuck in mud, needing to do a lift direct from the wheel, and find that the Lift Mate hooks won't attach properly to your stylish new wheel ;-)
2002 7.3 liter here. Mine is leveled out with gooseneck since I use it on farm and work. Here in the Carolinas the kids do the squat (lift front of truck only) and glass pack mufflers. I don't get it because they are so loud and squatted they are blinding everybody on the road they meet. Really suprised the DOT/local law enforcement allow it. I like the 450 the way you have it. I personally want to buy a new F450/flatbed and put a kelderman stock air ride on it. Alcoas are easy to keep looking good but stock looking. If you want to spend some money and a more custom look, then finding the right wheels can make it stand out.
So what are these hanger things called that he put on his truck I want to get some for mine.
I thought when u put bigger shackles u have to put both bigger not just the ones on the back. Can someone help me. Or is it ok for the ball joints puttin bigger shackles only on the back of the front leafs someone Please let me kno

Does that truck have headers on it? I can’t find a good set of headers for a V-10
Dooo noot change them rims!! Thats what lets you know that you own a f-450!! Besides they are sexy af!!! Ill cry if you change them. Now a leveling kit. I can agree on👌🏼

No don't change a thing looks great as is.
Would love these on my 96 but it already has an 8" lift .. guessing there's no way to not get the lift.. I bought it that way its my only complaint.. I feel every Crack in the road 😪
My dad has a 02 7.3L and what we have planned is new stock leafs and Sulastic shackles in the front and a 4-Link Airbag kit for the rear. When we install everything, I’ll post a video of it.

Has you completed this yet? I am considering the same and would like your input
Alcoa ? Depends where you live, they dont like road salt hitting them at 70 mph, they are ok with rocks but no no to salt crystals. In NJ , NY and PA people I know had to re paint them after 5 winters
So I am thinking about getting a 1990 f350 non turbo 7.3l auto trans about what do you think it would be worth they are asking 4800
I want some. Do you have to do a front end alignment after?
Yes you can get American force wheels
Where. Do you get those shackles if they help the ride I would love to replace the factory with them
Why were there no U-joints on the front axels? (Look at 6:15) Did they break and he didnt replace them? Or did he just want a 2 wheel drive lol
Did you have to cut anything on your fenders or body to make those tires fit
Did you guys snap off a bunch of exhaust manifold bolts while you were under there? Time to fix all those exhaust leaks!
SO almost 4 years later how are the shackles doing?
I feel ya Dale... not a fan of getting dirty if I can avoid it! Is there an upgrade to improve the turning radius on my F-150?
I'm not finishing this vid so I don't know what else there doing. But just by changing a bracket will not change the stiffness of the leaf spring.
How are these holding up in 2020?
What's the suspension setup of the truck? It looks pretty tall
Did the snugtop door fall off? It's a known issue that the manufacturer is liable for. I lost two canopy doors in 6 months. They sell a 4x4 version now. lol.
Where do I order these shackles and can they be installed on the rear axle as well
How are they holding up now?
What are those called and u only put them on the back right
breakfast tacos are the only formidable breakfast in south Texas hahahahaa
Do they make this for the front end ? And if where ?
yes opdate to black rims with a red stribe
Is that mod compatible with a 2000 F150?
Thumbs up.
Are these shackles available for first Gen Dodge?
if it took off the rear swaybar on my little truck i know it would ride better, because it handles speed bumps like butter, but uneven pavement rocks me like crazy. but its kinda an extreme solution.
Great video. I agree w you, lifting the front more than the rear looks stupid.
I love a truck that rides like a truck
What mpg you get with this set up please reply :) ! ?
