I just had these put on my 2017 F450. Dealership had some trouble installing them. The upper bolts were hitting the frame and producing an angle to the brackets. Switched bolts to something more like a low profile carriage bolt and it worked perfectly. Glad I did them. Very noticeable difference and I am glad I had it done. I Highly recommend them.

Been driving my old 1999 7.3 F250 for the last 18 years...talk about shake, rattle and roll (leafs front and rear)! Shopping for 2017 one-ton diesel (Ram 3500 vs F350). Had not heard that Ram 3500 suspension was so much stiffer than other vendor one-tons. This looks like a great product. In fact, had a Ram dealer recommend this as an after-market accessory when discussing ride-quality and the effect of auto-level rear air suspension option. Many thanks for the quality content you provide!! 👍

I just installed the "Sulastic Shackles" on my 2013 Ford E150 XLT Premium van with Max Tow Package. This van has a 8600 GVW with a front axle rating of 3700 LBS and back axle rating of 5120LBS. This make for a stiff ride when empty. These shackles are great. Really makes a positive difference when not towing our Airstream trailer. Worth the money and I installed them in my driveway with basic hand tools in less than 2 hours. Easy install. Get them!

I bought into these for my 2020 Chevy HD and … wow, what an improvement! In my opinion, these are well worth the money. The original rear suspension “jarring” due to the expected stiff Heavy Duty ride has completely smoothed out. Objectively, it feels like about 70% smoother and even if I’m only close, it’s simply impressive. I’m sold on it and loving my HD even more for all that it can do; now I can enjoy it for its superior capabilities and not be shaken and stirred like before. The front suspension is still as it was, yet this has made the idea of driving my HD, a more excited experience. My bones and body will thank me over the next twenty years (hope), which is my plan. I love my 6.6L HD gasser. PS, I live in frosty Alberta (winter of course), and these shouldn’t have any issue compared to Air Bags that typically due under -20/30 or -40C weather. Regarding the removal of the shackle and interference of the underside of box, the mechanic I hired chose to cut that bolt instead of cutting a groove in my underside and replaced them with new bolts and facing the other way (easier to remove if one had to next time).

With my 2016 RAM 3500 4X4 dually and factory air ride, I first opted to install the Rancho rs9000XL adjustable shocks; since sway of my truck camper is my biggest issue Unloaded, these shocks softened the ride quite nicely when adjusted to the softest settings. Loaded with my 4000lb slide-in camper and shocks set to stiffest setting, also improved the ride by reducing the sway and bounce. Next on my list is the Torklift Stableloads, then I will make a decision to go with Sulastic or not. BTW, with the factory air ride, not OEM or aftermarket sway bar is available yet for 2016.

Thanks again for the video. To bad the promotion isn't going on anymore I could have used it in a few weeks when I'll probably be order the kit, both front and back. Best Wishes & Blessings. These were originally velvet ride shackles. I put them on my F350 crew cab These sulastics are the same deal as velvet ride, (sort of like a lord mount) acts kind like tender spring on coil overs. I freaked when the velvet rides came unbonded. Then these came along. They are worth every penny. They will save you money on the overall maintenance. The only issue I had to deal with (and you may very have to as well, is the bolts are put on from the factory from the center out on mine, meaning you can’t pull the upper shackle bolt out. I used a die grinder, replace them with grade 8 SAE same length. Yours might be different.

They are $460 now plus install labor for 3 guys for 2 1/4 man hours. I'm guessing about $250. Sulastic Springs makes them for the rear of mine but nothing for the front. The underside camera during the test ride was great but I noticed a fair amount of lateral twisting. I suspect this will negatively affect cornering performance as this allows the entire rear differential and axle assembly to shift from side to side with movement of the steering wheel causing dangerous sway. There are videos here that show this movement while driving. It is shocking how much they shift from side to side. This is common on trucks and can be corrected with a bar that connects the differential to the frame. So, 5 years later, what do you think?

After watching your video I was impressed and immediately called the manufacturer with some technical questions since my 2017 Ram DRW has the factory auto air leveling system. I was really taken back by how ill-informed, rushed and rude the representative was. I got no answers. IMO this product could be useful however I actually use my trucks and often tow total gross vehicle weights at over 35K or haul a slide in camper weighing 2 ton plus so having heavy weight on the rear plus the need to know how this product would affect the automatic factory leveling system and the products max load handling capability is a must. I need definite answers and guarantees before experimenting on a product that in failing could leave you stranded and possibly damage the truck, when the manufacture can't or will not provide it I am staying clear. (probably a good product for the guy who hauls small loads once in a blue moon.)

Perfect timing, Mr. BTBR. I take delivery of my new RAM 3500 Mega Cab SRW with Ram Boxes this week. I will definitely get these and find a good shop in the Huntington Beach, CA area to have them installed. On another note, I want to thank you for your suggestions for finding a 5th wheel hitch for my new Ram Box equipped short bed truck. I just heard back from Reese this morning and they say their Reese Sidewinder will work fine on my truck as the pin box does not rotate within the narrower 49" wide bed with the Ram Boxes. The pivot point is directly under the pin box body, so up and away from the Ram Boxes. My new truck is at the dealer as of today, going out for weighing on Tuesday, so I will probably pick it up on Wednesday. Thanks again for the great videos.

Rick, after further research, and visiting my local truck suspension shop, I decided to not suspend the rear of my new RAM 3500 Mega Cab with the (rubber band) Sulastics. I chose to go with Bilstein 5100 shocks and lowering tire pressure from factory 80psi to 70psi front and 55psi rear. Tremendous improvement in ride quality. I just air them back up when towing. Hope you enjoy your new truck as much as I do mine.

Can you do a review of a Nissan Titan (ideally the SL trim or higher)? I drove one last week from Phoenix to San Diego and back and wow, what a wonderful ride. My girlfriend was with me and she and I were so comfortable. The passenger seat reclines almost 180º and the engine has some serious power and sounds glorious. I think it was the smoothest ride I've had in a 1/2 ton pickup. Only drawbacks are the light (kinda cheap) feeling of the doors and hood as well as the awkward wood trip on the interior. Would love to hear your thoughts on it!

Installed Sulastic shackles on my 2016 Ram 3500 2WD with OEM rear air suspension. Easy install, took 1 hour 20 minutes. I drove the hour home from the office/shop on varying road surfaces and speeds and did notice a very light reduction in the impact from minor jolts such as pavement joints and small ripples. Keep in mind I have the OEM air so it already road pretty smooth. Was it worth the +400? Time will tell. The next mod is a pair of Thuren front coil springs.

BTBRV, have you ever heard or tried SuperSprings and/or SumoSprings? I was pleased to see you do a video product review on these Sulastic Springs. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on these supersprings and sumosprings. Thank you.

It appears they make fronts as well. These guys installed them on a Superduty. Id think you'd be even better off with a set on the front as well.

Does it affect the truck or rear bed-load-capacity? Noticeable improvement. Even when comparing immediately after the installation , truck did get much quieter.

Would love an update on how these have held up over the last few years? Sulastic seems incapable of understanding how to market a product or even build a website. So when I research I find install videos and failure videos but nothing in between.

BTBRV. I would've gladly loaned my 16 Ram 3500 Dually for a Ram video install. I was in the local area last weekend. Unfortunately, I had to replace all 6 of those crappy Nexan tires because they all separated during the trip from San Diego. I may be in the area again in a few weeks so maybe shoot a vid then?

God!! I have spent so much money on trying to improve my ride. I have an 05 Silverado 2500HD with CST 9-11" (set @9") Fox Shocks with reservoir (revalved to softest); and it still rides very rough. I can feel all the bumps and cracks in the street. I have been online and KZread everyday trying to find ways to smoothen my ride or find a video like yours. Luckily I came across your video and I'm sold. I live in SocCal, so now I have to find a should that would do the still install or even carry the Sulastic Springs.

MAN! I've had this idea for my front leafs for years but never made them.... For the rear, factory "normal" rear leafs are designed to act as a ridged , "anti wrap" style in front of the axle to keep wheel hop and axle wrap under control . The rear , behind the axle portion is longer & less compressed. Installing a quality link bar set up to control axle wrap allows you to re arc the front portions and create a WAY softer first couple inches &, rising rate.

Love the silastic shekel but does not require professional installation start to finish from leaving my recliner to getting back in my recliner 38 minutes from gathering tools jacking up the back of truck with a floor jack using hand tools remove the old shackles install new ones 38 minutes start to finish nothing but a 24 mm socket Tip take top nut off with weight on truck eliminated need for 2nd wrench lower on my f350 has a bar to prevent nut from turning I reused factory bolts it came with bolts but the factory worked great

What's the average life expectancy of a set of these under normal use? And once you get to the end of the life expectancy do you completely replace the unit? Will there be symptoms that they need replacement? The reason I ask is we pull a 42 ft 5th wheel and would hate to have one reach end of life or break and drop the entire spring assembly....Answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If you use a smartphone there are a number of free apps that measure vibration. You could use one of these to put hard numbers on the improvement.

Great video! Thanks! Been thinking about putting these/or similar product on my '06 Sierra 3/4T Duramax 4WD Crew Cab. Reading the install instructions on the mfr website, it says to remove the lower shock mount bolts. Noticed TM'rs did not do this. Is this something req'd on some trucks but not all? The warranty on these shackles is 10 yrs on the metal parts and 3 yrs on the rubber parts. Most folks get 5-10 yrs life out of them, depending on severity of use. Wonder if some type of protectant like Aerospace 303 would help the rubber last longer....................Safe travels everyone!

The less vibration in your camera alone is very obvious. Assuming it was mounted the exact same way as before. Which I have to assume you did. I just bought a duramax a few months ago and have been asking around, how can I soften the rear suspension and the only answers I get are "it's a 3/4 ton truck, that's just the way they are". That's just an unacceptable answer and I know there has to be a solution. Getting a set of these installed very soon now. Thank you for the video.

Yeah my question is that too.... how long will the rubber isolator last? Looks like it has a 3 year warranty on the rubber... I'd sure hope it lasts a lot longer than that though! I wouldn't want to have to be replacing these things every 3 or 4 years! That's my only concern.

I'm surprised you didn't measure the height of the before and after. I gained half an inch when I put'em on my F350 dually. Also I'd like to see if they sag over time from the first install. They do soften up a bit and I can swear I lost a bit of lift but not sure how much. I do recommend them, however. They last a long time and take the jarring harshness out of the ride. I've put'em on my other 4 duallys.

8 years doesn't sound too bad.... are they still working well now at what, 12 years I'd guess? My concern is that 3 year limited warranty on the rubber part of these things, I would NOT want to be replacing them every 3 years or so!
