F1 is a racing drama distributed by Warner Bros Pictures and Apple Original Films.
A former driver who returns to Formula 1, alongside Damson Idris as his teammate at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid. The feature is being shot during actual Grand Prix weekends as the team competes against the titans of the sport. The film is made in collaboration with Formula 1® and the F1 community, including the 10 F1 teams and their drivers, the FIA, and race promoters.
F1 stars Brad Pitt, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Callie Cooke, Kim Bodnia, Damson Idris, Sarah Niles, Joseph Balderrama, and more. The film is directed and produced by Joseph Kosinski alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman.
F1 is releasing in theaters in Summer 2025.

@@srthebox4946 The APX1 has a Mercedes-AMG Engine, in Lore and in Real Life, as does Aston Martin, so it may have been a Condition from AMG for all the AMG Powered teams to be Portrayed as much faster than they are in Reality, Licensing really can get that Complicated once PR gets involved!

He's driving, they built custom cars. F2 chassis with an F1 exterior. The actors are driving the cars, they have been on different circuits previous season to film stuff and drove on track in between sessions.

This makes no sense at all battling in the turns. If they are building a car for cornering speed, then the car behind with DRS will pass them again and pull away in the straight. There is no more wheel to wheel battle anymore. This is a fantasy F1 movie.
