I never did ask. Now I know the F-22 in this game is an air superiority fighter, but can you modify it to carry bombs for strike missions? Like if a target is surrounded my multiple SAM sites, you need a stealth fighter to penetrate it. Is it possible you can do that to the Raptor?

@@lonniebailey4989 currently the F-22 mod is based on the the FC3 F-15 module - this module has no A2G weapons / capabilities. So in the near future, we won't see that coming I suppose.

@@jangustl_wt2358 sure, at close air support, few come close to the hog, but this is air to air combat. The thunderbolt would never out turn a raptor, no matter how big its cannon is. That's of course assuming it could get anywhere near the raptor against 6 AIM-120s, the electronically scanned array radar and some of the most advanced avionics ever put into any aircraft, all whilst the A-10 is flying practically blind. The raptor has its equals, but the Warthog isn't one of them.

@@SaintJerry depends what the fight is. I'm sure in bvr the F-35 can really put up a fight, and the Su-57 is certainly a worthy adversary (who knows what the J-20 is capable of). Unfortunately a lot is still classified surrounding these aircraft so it's impossible to say which ones are better.

its interesting to note about the deployment of the f22. during one of its certification tests, a single raptor was pitted against an entire group of f15's and everytime, it knocked them all without a single detection. in addition, it's avionics has a built in signal jammer that is capable of scrambling radar.

@@nelldavila3261 Because the F-22 doesnt do dog fights, its a stealth fighter, BVR is its primary method of combat.

When you say jam a S-300 RADAR into a hornet it reminded me of the fun my pilots had at red flag fighting F-22s. Our Super Hornets would regularly get the drop on the F-22, but the F-22 would just go vertical in AB and get behind the Supers.

Oh shit the f18 was me.... And yes my plane killed me...

F-22 has the radar signature of a bumblebee you won't even see it on radar. And it's a small plane, so it's harder to see in the sky. This plane is also agile. Which would make it a very effective dog fighter. Play to the F-22's strength, and you have an extremely overwhelming force on the battlefield.

The f22 is actually a larger plane. It’s in the heavyweight class. But the radar signature is tiny like you say. Or it will display them in different area then where they actually are with very advanced radars.

please give us another one like this! I love seeing the potential/capability of the 22 in a theatre air war. sneaking up on the other fighters and seeing the panic is so satisfying to watch. I CANNOT WAIT to actually get into this game and start investing countless hours. All i can do for now is watch

I remember reading about a Marine watching some practice dogfighting Army Airecorps P-38 Lightnings in California during WW2. There were two of them, and the planes accidently crashed into each other. The pilots bailed out but as one opened his chute, his plane, now going down in an uncontroled circle, came back around and the propeller cut up his legs. He blead to death before he hit the ground. Very sad way to go.

S-300 battalions have different types of radars, some are for rough tracking and some are for precise guidance. The early warning or search and track radars might pick you up due to different EM bands used, but only provide a general direction/altitude. That's what you might have seen. The fire control radar or active seeker on the missile itself is what the F-22 is likely designed to be stealth to. This means an IADS system might pick up an F-22 but ultimately be unable to actually hit it.

Good post. I had the same thoughts. When you see the operator scope of the search radar it looks almost like a display from very old WW2 radars, but with more overlaid info. but basically a circle with inverted spikes, which give a rough direction and strength of return. Normally chaff is used to mess-up the return on radars using that frequency band but you need a lot of it. That's not an option for an F-22. I think in real life ECM drones etc would be used to confuse those SR while the F-22 fly around them. In fact it was a lesson leant from the infamous shoot down back in the day. The old search radar systems really were not told (by ECM not being use) that the plane was invisible. Amusingly enough, that infamous event an d the meme that goes with it keeps the Russian's overconfident in their systems, which is great for more advanced stealth systems. This is also why the US is upset with Turkey buying S400 and being a NATO member which has NATO aircraft flying in its airspace, as they may be able to get data and a signal return profile against modern stealth systems, which I am sure would be feed back to the S500+ systems to come.

My hat off to every one involved in these sequence's. You did your best but the Best ruled Appreciate your taking the time to "have a go" Well done to all, win or lose.....

I think the F14 around 450 into the video just accepted the inevitable and his doomed fate so he rid himself of all he could and then decided to end it on his own terms with an immediate sudden death instead of having half his body ripped off dying and bleeding out lmao. Realizing how close your been and how long you had been right behind him he just accepted the 0% chance of getting out of that situation haha.

3:25 "Look at this - what do we have here?" That sounded just like sth out of a 90s movie when the big bully spots his favourite nerd victim in the school hallway. The outcome of the encounter was quite appropriate. F for the poor souls who decided to give it a shot.

And just marvel at what can/is actually being flown for elite down range missions. If they are showing this stuff at airshows , it is not the best of the best. Remember, long wave radar can see ALL stealth aircraft. It's just that their resolution is low and continuous, high frequency tracking is difficult as a result .

My favorite F-22 moment will always be when you verses one in the Big Russian and suddenly you saw the Raptor flying formation. That was a true pants-on-head moment... ^~^

GS still hasn't got over that disrespectful kill when a Raptor formed up formation with his Su-27 so now he's torturing everyone else the same way 😂😈

The F-22A Raptor along with the F-15 Eagle are the 2 most dangerous fighters the U.S. has ever produced and mock training the F-22 Raptor is undefeated although several allies have gotten air-to-air kills during mock training and as far as the F15 Eagle to this day it is 10r to 0 in air to air combat with the U.S. all of our allies to fly it

One other thing, I always dream of going for a ride in a F-22 and now I did!!! Thanks I needed that bro. Made my day 😄👌

All the enemy needs to do is jam an S-300 radar into a Hornet! That skyscraper sized radar won't slow the Hornet down will it? :)

Make sure you use the TWS mode (right alt + i by default) to fire at multiple targets without them having a lock warning

I just got the F-15C but don't know how to launch the missiles. I figured out how to work the radar and set it to TWS.
