My life as a kid I used to tell my hostel nurse and my parents that i often used to get headaches and skips school but they always thought I was making this up until I got to go to optometrist and got glasses and my whole headaches were gone but the doc didn't told me about headaches.. but inner me knew it has to do something with my eyes.😁

I have horizontal astigmatism and now i know why my eyes hurt everyday except some rare days alternatively. The first time when i came to know about it i was scared to see it and staright up i went to eye doctor for checkup. Now i am really used to it but heaches is someting I get everyday in one eye and one side of the brain which is sometime more painful than some other days.

astigmatism caused me headache and i have been suffering from headache from 2 year with my new corrected glasses.My advice to any person suffering from astigmatism is to ask ur optometrist to lower ur cylindrical power and wear ur glasses all time after 1 or 2 year after u will be adabted to headache. now my headache is less but its still their.

Recently i went to optometrist and i found that i have astigmatic vision. i always look at my phone sideways while I lie on my bed, could that be the cause?

Sir my fater's age is 76 & last 3 yrs he is facing the optic issue in his left eye as per doctor treatment they given him 3 injections in eye and some in stomach as well as given laser treatment but asper them he is having black edema issue in left eye and they suggest now timlol drop for 2 times in day to control eye pressure and any other treatment cant they do as per clinical reports but he is still facing issues like blackout and blur issues please suggest something

Cud not understand why sleeping sideways was a problem, I am a medical student... Had the same doubt could not find any viable answer on the internet or the books... Finally i have come up with my theory... That sleeping sideways we apply mechanical pressure on the eyeball and astigmatism being a condition where eyeball changes shape.... Only This explanation makes sense... Hope that helps

My optometrist recently corrected my glasses to fix astigmatism. With my old glasses (no astigmatism) I have no headaches and see everything alright. But with my new glasses (with astigmatism correction) everything looks strange and I get headaches. Should I ask him to change back my glasses?

goat I just had him change my glasses back to normal without astigmatism correction. My astigmatism isn't really noticeable, so I get on just fine. Have your optometrist do the same if you're alright without the correction, I guess.

Today my son was diagnosed with 2.5cylindrical eyesight vision. He is 4yr4 months. The Senior ophthalmologist could not tell specifically the cause. But she said it cant be due to excessive screen time. You mentioned it could be either due to genetic or watching tv tilted. My son watched from age 1 or so tab, mobile etc. He would watch nearly 6 hours or so every day. Some days 7 hours in a stretch. Can you please throw some light on it.

Y u are using cylindrical number not spherical ?have u tried spherical power?blurred vision with spherical num or what's the reason i think u should try -1 or -1.50in sphere
