Excellent review. Your review is the first one I have seen that actually pays attention to the lyrics, which IMO are very important. Your take on the lyrics is a little deeper than mine but is very much similar to my own interpretation of the lyrics. I interpreted this song to be about how cut throat the music business is. How the record executives and other who run the music business can make you or break you at will. Gary's wearing of the red leather jacket and the dark glasses (looking a little like the devil) is symbolic of the evil in the music business. And Nuno is an absolute guitar god. I absolutely love this song and am looking forward to the rest of this album.

thank you. Yeah, that's a great point. Man the music business is just the worst, isn't it? Doing my own music the way I do - very anti-business I guess. Can't wait for their new album. It's been way too long.

Great video! Sounds like you know the bands previous stuff! I've been a huge Extreme fan since 'Kid Ego'. To me, their message here is reminiscent of 'Hip Today' and sounds like it could have been on that album as well.

Thanks! Yeah, Extreme are great. I was in a band where we played Get The Funk Out and More Than Words. The music on our first album was similar to Extreme, very solid stuff considering that the guitar player was 19 and me 21. Unfortunately that album was never released but maybe once. Nice memories.

I have been a big fan of Extreme, I am really happy to meet the comeback of them, with the still or even more powerful sounds and rythems. I also appreciate good explanations about the song.

Loving the fact that extremes new album title is six, and wingers new album is seven. And their first singles were released literally within a week of each other. 👍🏻

Yeah! I actually did mention it but cut it out as it was a useless observation but I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing that :-)

@@rjakobej it would be cool, if they toured together and called it the 6/7 tour.

@@JoeDoom1 yeah, I haven't seen Extreme yet but Winger are going to tour with Steel Panther and then Tom Heifer band. But it would be cool.

@@JoeDoom1 Funny story, I actually saw Extreme opening for Winger early 90s. I felt bad for Winger, they were good, but Extreme stole the show. Would love to see them together again.

Their darkest is definitely the Waiting for the Punchline album.

If I remember correctly, I was talking about the solo - and I meant the shredding aspect of it.

I think you're missing the lyrics. I think it's a cynical takedown of fame, much like "star" from the last album.

it's possible. This one's quite open to interpretation.
