All the attention he's gotten lately is well deserved. I never understood why he is relatively under the radar! One of the greats for sure. The solo to rise completely blew my mind away and it's been decades since that happened to that degree! Nuno is amazing!

For some weird reason bands seem to be scared about doing more classic rock stuff. So happy Extreme had the guts to do it and nailed it

Timing is everything. After EVH passed, Eddie, the band, and electric guitar started getting a lot of attention from the younger generation, and just people who never listened to rock guitar before. There are reaction videos all over KZread of young people trying to figure out what the hype was all about. It opened up a door and a world for people, and put guitar in the limelight. But, there was no current frame of reference. You were hard-pressed to find new music with that type of playing. Then Extreme dropped "Rise," and those who didn't get to experience this kind of playing when it was popular are excited to see it happening now, in their own time. Cheers to all of us who have lived long enough to see the rise, the fall, and the rise again of the "guitar god."

Great to hear song based music with amazing guitar playing again. Nuno has always been one of the greats, nice to see him getting recognition.

Nuno is a beast ! He can play everything with soul and feeling ! And as EVH was, he is a rythmic monster ! 🤘🤘🤘

Unbelievable band, I saw them live a month ago and they play/sound amazing and put up a great show. If extreme are playing in your city don’t miss out.

Really enjoyed that interview! I love to hear musicians talk about their music. Nuno has a very strong passion for what he does. The great ones always do. Loved to hear Eddie’s passion, love to hear Vai’s passion…….both greats. Nuno is no different! Oh for us mere mortals to be in that realm for just the length of one song…….

Nuno is the total package. Great songwriter, singer, and, of course, gutarist!

Great interview, the whole album was a companion to the loss of my husband after 30 years and us both being fans of Extreme their career but even before we met...

1:26 - wow! That is the only copy of 'Guitarist' magazine that I have kept since 1991, just because of the Nuno interview!

Man i'm getting sick of all this hype around this one solo. It's not even that great, FAAAR from Nunos best, the Get The Funk Out solo is 20 million times more impactful than this, and that's just one example. This solo has one cool part, we all know which part, is it just because we are totally starved of guitar solos that actually have some emotion and aren't just a narcissistic wank piece of tippy tappy soul-less crap, is that why this stands out? Or are people just seriously deluded and have zero memory..? I like this solo, but one solo getting this amount of attention is just insane...

You’re right. It really is silly. The guy has had so many insanely good solos. The Rise solo is far from the best solo on the album.
