My late wife used to promote bands back when first met in the early 1990's , including Extreme , before Pornograffitti .... The great thing about this was there was a band called FLESH that she had a demo for that the lead singer was Nuno's brother Paul Bettencourt and the lead guitarist was Gary's brother Mark Cherone.... Unfortunately, all of cassettes are gone somewhere, probably a landfill... After she passed , unfortunately I couldn't bring everything with me when I moved into a 1 BDR apartment .... It saddens me though 😞... Good music and even more amazing memories 🎸🤘🏻😎😁🙏🏻✝️💖

I met Van Halen in 1998 and I met Gary Cherone, he blended in with the rest of our group but I found him, the most humble rock star I've met. Super nice and actually kinda shy. He will be on the list one of the greatest vocalists ever. Good story but too long about my 'encounter' with Eddie, phew! Eddie completely chewed me up and just despised by my presence. I was totally respectful to him. Alex, super cool, dude smart as a rocket scientist.

True story. I'm a pro musician in Boston. I used to play a popular bar in Boston (Faneuil hall) every Wednesday night. We would pull a nice crowd and it was a good time. One night somebody yells "play some Extreme". Now I'm a fan and played some of their songs back in the day but was not well rehearsed on their stuff. So I'm kinda drunk and play Whole Hearted. Much to my dismay I look over at the bar and there is Gary Cherone. I'm butchering the song and he just looks like wtf is this guy doing. the reason somebody yelled "play some Extreme" is because they hoped Gary would jump up and sing. lol. well, he didn't. He let me bomb. Then there was the time Mike Mangini played with me. my jaw was on the floor. Same gig different night.

I am not a fan of Gary's voice. But I love his attitude and his songs.... What's wrong with me???? Gary and Sammy are awesome. Maybe they both can record together one VH album from both eras in Nuno's studio. Not gonna make millions, but will be cool as heck and original.
