The more I listen to this song, the more I like it. I never really listened to them back in the day, but I might pick this album up.

Good honest review Leigh... I like it, you can shake your tush to it.

Extreme broke out when I was about 7 years old. I've listened to everything they've released since then once I picked up the guitar myself. To be honest with you, their old stuff is really cheesy but for me Nuno's guitar playing was so good I could look past that. This album is what I wished they would have done back then when I was really into them. I'm with you when it comes to the chorus of "Rise". . .it's cringey. These two new singles are step in the right direction and the album is going to be good.

They actually released three songs this week, the third, Other Side of the Rainbow, was from the pre-order with no videos. It's an uptempo, acoustic ballad-type song with an electric guitar solo. It's a good song, and overall, this album is shaping up to be their best since Three Sides or P-GII (which may not be saying much other than it's better than their 2008 release.)

I enjoyed all of the singles so far. Don't really listen to them that much,but they're fantastic live

🙀 This songs is okay but doesn't really do much for me. Maybe part of the reason is that I was never into them back in the 80's. It just sounds somewhat flat to me. Still I must tip my hat to them for releasing a new album which now days can be difficult.

The 3 songs of this album are epic

This has a good stomp, but the chorus again doesn’t get me. Nuno said he wrote this album in remembrance of EvH, and it’s clear here, more than in the first single, at least for me.

I would love to see you react to a Danish band called Fate and the song it's named ''you're the best (money can't buy) from the album Scratch and sniff (1990). If you've never heard of this band before, check this song out, you'll be blown away.....guaranteed!!!. Pay attention to the guitar player. Happy listening.

Banshee and Rebel are both much better than Rise IMO. Im an old Extreme fan but I agree with you the new stuff is OK.

Great review mate. I love Extreme but the 3 songs released so far have been pretty generic. Apart from Nunos solos they haven't done much for me. Maybe they are growers.

No one should give you a hard time. If a song doesnt speak to you, it's fine. Banter is ok, but if someone gives you actual grief over it, that's pretty pitiful.

It's good but just lacking something. I think it's the production partly, the guitars are too muted and need to sound brighter. Just get the pornograffiti crew back and re-record :)

i didnt like the chorus too relax... and i am a big Extreme fan and NOW they're BACK ! now we are talking! Btw 3 sides is one of my fav albums of all times
