These first three songs have been amazing. Rather impressive that they’ve managed to put out new music that doesn’t sound “dated” while still sticking to their roots. Most bands from that era haven’t been as successful.

I feel better about the Guitar Void that was left by Edward Van Halen now that Extreme (Nuno) are back on the scene! What a performance!!!!!! 10/10

I can't believe I'm gonna see them in NJ at a small club and the opening act is one of my fave bands that they are gonna tour Europe with, Living Colour! The show is gonna KILL!!!! This bands just kicked everyone in the nuts! This is a rock band!

Personally I think he could have sung "Rabble-rouser, Google Chrome browser," because it doesn't really matter what he sings when it is followed by Nuno's awesome face melting guitar solo. Definitely 'the sweet spot of swing rock stuff' as you said Mr Hawkins.

love the reaction Justin, the rhyming is really funny😅and as a fellow guitarist, that's also my reaction when I heard the harmonic part and the lightning two string tapping.😁 Gary Cherone really blew me away!😮unbelievable vocals, he delivered it perfectly - the power, the range, the clarity the vibrato is excellent and his vocal/singing the solo unison with Nuno is just spectacularly good.🤘💯 Cheers Justin and Extreme FTW!😎

I don't tend to buy new albums from bands that I was really into back in the 90s, but this is going to have to be an exception. First 3 songs are amazing... a very NOW sound, and yet still very Extreme. 🤟👏

Nuno is just a wizard. More people need to know the name outside of guitarist circles. He should be considered along with names like becker. Evh. Gilbert.

Yeah, he already is. He was on the cover of every magazine in the early 90s, and he's who every other guitarist would mention when asked about who they look up to. I remember George Lynch saying "The guy to look out for now is Nuno Bettencourt. He's a fiery little fucker."

It ain't just Nuno that rips lol Extreme just keeps going strong - Role Models, really. Good folk, talented, hard working, down to earth.

I just listened "Heart Explodes" from the Darkness... I've mostly been watching your podcast because you're quirky and funny and interesting... but I guess I'm a fan now, it's a great tune.

Extreme are the world best Queen tribute band. They were amazing at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert.

Have you seen Matteo Mancuso. A young guitarist 23 I think. He will blow you away. Not just his technique but the soul he plays with. And he's a very humble guy. He can play any style. Just amazing to watch him playing. For anyone who doesn't know him. Just search his name in KZread. There's a lot of videos. Even if you don't react to him go watch him. He plays with a band as well. Can't remember the name. But they are all incredible musicians.

All 3 of these singles sound like the A side of an old school single release! It's amazing how much new age influence you can hear in the songs, but at the same time, you know it's Extreme as soon as you hear them!

Van Halen's "A Different Kind of Truth" was a monumental comeback that was either 28 years or 14 years down the road, depending on whether you measure it from the Roth Era or Van Halen III (the previous studio VH album). Edward Van Halen was in top form and the songs hit hard. A great swan song album and a truly epic comeback.

So happy a new gen is discovering Extreme! Just got my vip tickets to see them with Living Colour! Hope this leads new fans to discover III sides to every story, one of the greatest concept albums of all time and perhaps my favorite album of all time.

Life is funny. When I was a college kid back in the late 80's, it seemed like only the guitar community knew what a beast Nuno was. Fast forward 35 years later and his skills are being much more recognized by the masses.

The whole bit of your figuring out the lyrics was so funny. favorite bit of any video.

Firstly, love the show and love your reactions...especially when you just put down the guitar...and yet, I also love the way you can pick up the riffs "just like that"...its a top skill! I do struggle a bit with the "extreme are back" etc as if the last albums weren't up to scratch. I know people tend to mean its because they haven't released anything for so long but im not surprised in the least with the quality. For me this is "just" classic Extreme, although so excited that we have more of it. Nuno has consistently been one of the most underrated guitarists so its great to see the band and him getting this attention. Defo get Nuno on and defo wangle a guest spot on stage with Gary!!! Id love to see that.

Another band who went away and came back stronger than ever was Europe. Not many bands wait 40 years after their first LP before releasing some of their best stuff. Sad story: Valentine’s Day 1992 and Extreme had recently released Extreme II - Pornografitti. My then girlfriend loved ‘More Than Words’ so I bought her the album for Valentine’s Day. She dumped me that very night. I’ve not listened to Extreme since….maybe I should because this new stuff just slays. It’s been 31 years, I think I’m over the break up now. 😂

I’ve never yelled LEATHER TROUSERS so adamantly at a KZread video. Or anywhere, actually.

Whomever restyled them & the director of this trio of videos diid a BANG UP job. They look great and yes, some moments in each song are cliche rock, but the each song has a point where it just GOES! Well done, and I'm so happy for these guys because they work hard & deserve every bit of success they have at this juncture. I really pray that it gets the notice it deserves. Good on you for shining a light & bringing your fan base in on it. I never cared about them in the 90s, but did recognize their talent. Now, despite any cheese or cliche in the lyrics, it can't be denied that it's great. And just like always their vocals all together are SLAMMING. The playing goes without saying. The production, although slick, is so amazing because the grit in the playing rides over it. It just dawned on me that the phrasing for "you got something to say" might be inspired by "Walk" by Pantera. It was driving me crazy and I just had that moment where I can relax and stop going through a list of songs in my head:)) Gary Glitter is the other "swingy" rock thing:))

Yes, a metal band has already made a very successful comeback after a very long hiatus. After '95s Forbidden Black Sabbath's next album 13 topped both the US and UK charts in 2013.

This is just a ass kicking rocker with lots of "Hey" and the now infamous "Hair Delouser" missing rhyme.
