She is 100% correct on everything she said. 👏👏👏 I work for a very large historically senior organisation within the public sector as a photographer and often I am ordered to take images of diversity. I’ve even had a subject say to me when I approached her for photographic consent, “let me guess…diversity and inclusion.” I felt utterly embarrassed and racist for being forced to seek out individuals of a different melanin, in the name of “positive” discrimination. Which is just plain discrimination. It’s poisoned from the top and is just out and out virtue signalling, which in itself is negative. To have that negative process embed itself and grow like a tumour is everything that is wrong in modern society.

I have the same experience while working for one of the largest non-government organisations in the world - for photography but also for graphic design I am told not to use photos of white people in teaching positions to ethnic students (even though the majority of the lecturers are white) or to change the photo in the report cover because “non-white people are better” and if I do happen to use a good photo where someone happens to be white and I don’t even realise, I receive comments and am told to change. Everytime someone complains also about the management team being “so white” I cringe so hard inside

Adventure and a chance to prove yourself are tempting as a 17-20 year old kid, particularly when you're from a background that values the military. Not tooting my own horn here, but I joined the Royal Marines in 2011 (discharged on a medical midway through training, which was a bugger, gutted at the time but life goes on), a decade and a half later I've got a Masters in Biology. I know a fair few lads in a similar situation. A bloke I knew as a kid in cadets went from a general duties marine to a pilot officer in the Commando Helicopter Force. They tend not to give idiots rifles, at least not in the RM anyway.

I fully assimilated and didn't bring my religion or political garbage with me. I worked hard, two jobs most of the time and in 6 years I had a deposit for my house. Friend of mine, a Muslim, was sacked from his job in 2017. Some blue haired land whale in his office made a remark about the movie “Fantastic Beasts and where to find them” (which I’ve not seen). She was saying how excited she was about seeing a gay romance or something, referring to Dumbledore and some other guy. Anyway. As a Muslim, he simply said he wasn’t too keen on it. Next thing he knows, he’s pulled into an office by some HR jobsworth and told “you can’t work in marketing for this organisation if you hold those beliefs” and sacked him. Fascinating how the woke folk get to cherry pick which protected characteristics are important to them on the fly 🤔

There is a massive amount of class discrimination up in the north east. I experienced it for the first half of my working life growing up in Blyth. Blyth is associated with mass unemployment and substance abuse. The same goes for Ashington and Bedlington. Public transport has been terrible for decades and most people will move away from the town to escape the stigma. I was one of those people. I'm now back in Blyth working at a local school and I don't want the teenagers whose education I'm responsible for to suffer the same prejudice that I experienced as a young adult. We have a long way to go.

The rush to get more women, then get more minorities, into positions they were not qualified for. Then make them managers too quickly. So, for past 15 years, staff lack ability, knowledge because their managers lack ability and knowledge. Now I do contractor work for this same company, doing work that should have been done years ago, because of the lack of people who know their job.

I know organisations in the UK just like this now. And aside from people who are just not the best candidate (and who have entirely bought into DEI too) now being in positions of authority and this compounding the problem, they also genuinely think they're the best person for the job. They have had their egos filled with DEI garbage, and with the better people not being there to guide them or support them, they genuinely think they're the bees knees, and that is genuinely scary. The UK has across the board because the land of the blind where the one-eyed woman is king. And on the odd occasion where people like this lose their job or lose out to a man or someone with less DEI points than them, they of course blame it all on 'misogyny' or 'racism' or some other 'ism' that allows them to ignore the fact they simply just aren't the best person for the job. The UK is gonig to hell in a hand basket with all of this DEI, affirmative action and gender quotas. Unless the best person gets the job, unless the country runs as a meritocracy, it'll become a complete mess...and when that mess inevitably happens, we all know who'll be blamed for it. Just look at Scotland where Nicola Sturgeon turned out to be the most inept First Minister in history and who does she blame? Men and 'misogyny'. Yes, her wholesale failure to deliver policy after policy isn't because she's incompetent and has put divisive identity politics ahead of competent government, according to her it's all the fault of the big bad boogie MEN. And as other examples of DEI crumble, they'll all be blaming the very people they discriminated against. If there's one thing that DEI lacks it's accountability.

I'm witnessing daily that the DEI policies, an absolute lack of expectations for assimilation of new immigrants, and the new religion of "multiculturalism" do nothing but divide people. People come here, and instead of adopting the new culture, way of life, sense of community, values, the new Canadian identity that would tie them to other new compatriots etc., everyone stays in their own tiny (sometimes not that tiny) bubble of their own ethnic and/or religious background and hardly ever mingle with people outside.

There is no way you can get a job in nursing without one of these two degrees, not even as medical receptionist who doesn't do anything technically medical but just books appointments (there's college for that as well). Also, try getting a job as office manager (admin assistant, or whatever it's called in different places) without a college/uni degree, even at positions where the job post officially requires secondary school diploma, and I'll applaud you. I work in that job, and have a BA degree from a University, and my colleagues all have uni/college diplomas, some even multiple. I suspect something similar must be happening in the UK too, and most probably in the larger cities in the US. So maybe not ridiculing people for mentioning actual issues might not be a bad idea.
