This is a short video I made for Day of Defeat: Source.
This one wasn't that interesting, but I think Source Filmmaker will be more exciting.
I finally learned how to play the Source Filmmaker demo files.

    The more Type 6s I see, the more convinced I become that we're seeing the perspective of an Umbrella Man. They seem to be trying to delete entities from the map constantly, and become really erratic if they can't delete something. I wonder if they're only able to affect specific entities, but are themselves unaware of what their limits are. That one Type 6 that was fixated on the flag for example, could have been like an "It's moving, why can't I delete it?" response.

    I noticed the same thing in the HL2 videos. The Type 6 demos seem really perturbed by airships and suddenly fixate hard whenever one shows up.

    I think that if they can't remove something, they just move it somewhere. TF2 and HL type ? demos deliver that impression

    I think it’s part of the “detecting anomalies” process. If it can’t delete something naturally or easily, then it assumes it to be an anomaly (such as a DMnpc).

    I think it's the "crashers" that we are watching in perspective. Like the BLU Scout for example

    ​@@4GB-Man64For sure. Umbrella man can delete near everything. Type 6 entities can't and they seem to fixate on moving things that aren't clear NPCs that might notice them/interact with them. The tf2 crasher was moving pretty eratic like the type 6s but more controlled until the player interacted, then it ran off to crash things once it realized there was an interloper user there that could see it. I think these things, type 6s and crashers, are taking stuff from the actual maps and building their own in the void. While umbrella man goes active to capture dynamic NPCs that escape the voidin type 5s and prevent people from looking too into it if they leave the official maps where the type 6 and crashers roam. My conspiracy theory is mostly backed by when dude had the portal RTX exploit goin he kept getting harassed by the ERROR entity, which is a known stand in for the umbrella man when he's inactive in demos, even on different planes and games. And when the timer ran out on the first type 5. Connecting to the server the void is on outside of demos, you immediately start getting hunted. Accessing demos outside of a certain time frame originally, you start getting hunted. Have interloper commands and notice a crasher that's supposed to be invisible, you get crashed and stopped. Crazy. "They're starting to show up everywhere" eidamona said. No. They've been there. You can just see them now.

    I'd just realized, Data 21 is the spot where Eida spotted one of the interloper men standing at the player's location.

    Interesting thing about demo at 1:00 is that its the exact opposite of a clip in Eida's first interloper video, where he claims that the ghosts are following him around in other games: kzread.info/dash/bejne/m5qTrdqOe93AqLA.html

    Data104 looks like an umbrella man's pov flying to another map, because we have seen some maps connecting to each other by flying very far

    Quite a few of these Demo's has people saying "Hi", the type 5 Half Life, the Elite Monster from CSGO's type 5, and now this type 3/4? Is this some type of communication that they are trying to make to us or something? So cryptic yet interesting. Also with that type 6 going into the void, is it possible these type 6's are using the demo void as ways to hop around source engine maps? It would make sense considering the scout did something similar in Eida's videos. It also seemed to have found *something* considering it pinged, an entity maybe? Amazing video as always 🙏

    Seems the type 6 ones are scanning some probably specific kind of entities throughout the map and then deleting them. That demo is interesting as at the end of the long trek into the void, it scans an entity, or at least makes the sound associated with scanning. I'm very curious if there is anything out there when checking ingame or in hammer.

    My idea on the type 6 and umbrella men is that they are not necessarily type 5 hunters but i think they are kinda like maids or matinence bots. If the source engine is a living interconnect consistent world, we can assume they dont just go away when you disconnect, you need someone to take care of it. On a side note i wonder what it means for single player games. Does each computer have its own source world or is everyone playing on the same one. Neither make sense tbh

    Type 6 look like motion detectors and they can delete stuff except for some stuff like that malformed heavy

    Type 6 demos also seem to be tracing things with perfect accuracy, I would say it’s less organic and more informational. No ghosts. All learning algorithms.

    data104.dem is pretty different that the normal type 6 demos, The "crasher or inteloper. idk what is it" moves the camera smootly like any other type 6 where the camera just teleports and glitchs alot and the ring sound was just heared once, not like other type 6 demos where the ring sound glitches and replays alot of time (Edit: Nvm the ring sound Was heared 2 times. not 1 time bruh)

    Type 6 demos seem to be from the perspective of something that deletes. What’s the only other thing that is known to delete/get rid of something within the series? I would say the umbrella man fits quite duffle in that description

    Is is possible to look through the various events an entity is performing in a demo? Doom has a feature, or at least the ability to look at what exactly everything is doing, and remembers things like player velocity, the angle they're looking at and what they trigger and I was wondering if Source has something similar. It'd be nice to know what function the Type 6 demos are attempting to call when it's spazzing out like that, trying to delete objects.

    the thing about sfm is that the demos were generated, but they couldn't be played (at least anomi couldn't do it) i guess these would have to be played in a game that's as close to sfm as possible; i guess it would be either tf2 or hl2

    Hi NIKToper or youtube guys. I am wondering if you fly into the void in a map , travel for a quite long time and finally arrive a new map is possible? Does map editor or map self has a map range? I wonder it because I noticed some Type 6 tried to fly through the void to find something out and the behavior very similar to "longtrap" type 5 demo.

    i think it just shows the person that recorded the demo and because the demos were "generated" on anomidae's pc, the demo saved his name

    You should be more popular. Now that you are doing source film maker. That one is tricky. Nothing wouldn't load for me. It always crashed. I wouldn't be suprised if it happened to you. Goodluck!

    Wtf... data104 contains the demo that is not in spedup as the others type 6. I have a hypotesis, that type 6 demos are pre recordedby human and then sped up by like 20 times or smth like that. And about the data104, it contains the prove that farlands in sourcemaps are exist, and it looks like its farlands from roblox, bcz it also causes the textures and physics glitches
