I'd like to imagine that the Narrator just shoves the umbrella men into The Serious Room. Like, he just sees some random pitch-black figure holding an umbrella deleting parts of the game and he just goes: "No, no! How will Stanley progress the story without the vital props I have put in. Those meticulously placed cups, those monitors that are necessary to make the office feel like... well, an office! This simply cannot do. Well then, off you pop." And then he just traps them in The Serious Room whilst he restarts the game, bringing back everything they deleted. "Oh, and forget about deleting anything in this Serious Room, that includes The Serious Table. I've made sure to make this room as cheater-proof as possible... although you're a different kind of *thing* entirely. No matter. Enjoy the next hundred-billion-trillion years in this room whilst you learn to respect the strict order of scripted narrative events."

The Postal 3 one is also a Type 6, but due too it being a forced third person game, its The Dude awkwardly flying around deleting/scanning tings

The dystopia type 6 shows us that there is another command that the umbrella men are capable of doing beyond deletion and manipulation, as it enters the thanks command once its done seemingly deleting/scanning everything in the map. If anomi can get back access to the Portal RTX Type 6 disconnect state, I wonder if they can input these commands before the umbrella men gets them and throws them back into that void? It was shown that they were able to spawn a Hint Node, which is something that the umbrella men are also capable of doing, and the next time they get a demo before disconnecting from fsky, Anomi's player literally turns into an umbrella man chasing around a Heavy DMNPC, and presumably if i understood it right at the end of the type 5 CSGO demo the player umbrella man gets separated from the DMNPC by that floating head, so maybe typing hello and goodbye does something as well. It might also be worth trying to get the disconnect to occur within Dystopia itself so that Anomi can attempt to test each of these dys_voicecomms inputs. Also while waiting for a new type 6 to generate as well as waiting for fsky to disconnect anomi is the new Interlope command that we found internally within the SFM demos.

Despite how kinda creepy it is there's something beautiful about seeing all the Source games that demos were generated for. A big happy family of games corrupted by a man with an umbrella c:

A theory I have about the sfm demos is that they aren't someone torturing living ragdolls but a Dynamic NPC trying to use the program. The bone breaking and camera following can ve them just testing stuff and posing the ragdolls while the camera shaking can be just frustration as we know dynamic npcs have some kind of feelings

I understand I'm probably just stating the obvious but in the Stanley Parable demo, I kinda wonder if the cheating ending was triggered because the interloper command counted as sv_cheats or something. Like Stanley Parable is built to shut down any form of no-clip which includes anything with Interloper functionalities.

apparently it was the old steam friend online sound, but idk i actually found the sound along with 2 other ones relating to a friend in a pirated hl2 copy

I feel like type 6 demos are just a npc looking for any trace of interloper teleports all over the map to find any clues

I do wonder what seemingly stopped type 6s from being generated in the past and why they’re showing up so frequently now

The Left 4 Dead ones were… really strange and a but upsetting (in a good way). The way it casually tortured and killed the characters felt like something more than the ragdolls/NPCs. It makes me look at the potential DMNPCs in other videos differently.

It baffles me that games so recent like Stanley or Black Mesa appeared in demos, what exactly is the engine threshold for the interlope demos to be generated? Because the fact you need old builds of certain games to run the demos would point at this being a source 1 exclusive phenomenom but some games either can't generate demos properly, fail to read them back... Or just don't have demos. It's weird. Moreover, the weird flashlight glitch only happens in VERY early HL2 builds, what the fuck is up with that? I wonder just how much of a source soup amalgam the black world is, from what branch of the tree it comes from... If not from a forcibed unification of all of them.

Everyone calls them Type 6s but given how common they are, and the behaviour I feel like they should be a Type 1.5 or Type 2.5 The level of intelligence would also support this. The way they go crazy is typical of Type 1s and the noclipping is similar to Type 2s

The demos I reviewed were in the Source Filmmaker folder, so Anomidae didn't actually create the demo in The Stanley Parable. It was generated in Source Filmmaker.
