    2:33 FTP is File Transfer Protocol, a common method of sharing files over the internet. Kind of confirms that these are taken from a server hosting these files, but it could also be a message left for someone else. Also 2:07 the port 27016 is used by Steam, specifically for game traffic. You can use ports 27000-27100 for Steam game servers. This would indicate that whenever this is run on a Source game you are being connected to a server for said game. Interestingly, Postal 3 actually does require an internet connection in order to get around its DRM, and when that authentication server went down in late 2022 no one could play the game anymore. So whatever's allowing Postal 3 to work with the interlope command is acting as an authentication server or cracked the game.

    My two takeaways are that 1) at least one of the people behind this seems to be a real piece of work, judging by the "pleasant demeanour" of their comments and the mocking jumpscare for people looking into what they are doing, and indeed what they are doing is-if these truly are 'living NPCs'-torturing people by contorting their bodies, drowning them, and playing with their severed heads... 2) the replica of Anomidae's camera-scouting-vehicle means either there is some history involving him and this stuff that he hasn't told us about, OR whoever or whatever is behind this whole thing is well aware of his meddling and is actively doing things behind the scenes right now in the present day (rather than all of this stuff having taken place in the past in Eida's day)... or even both!

    With regards to point 2, I’m leaning towards Eida hiding stuff from us. He is suspiciously silent on the use of the researcher character from Episode 7, and dismissed the DM Editor tool as being a “hoax”, despite documentation on Eida’s channel.

    ​@@timurthelame4479 also anomi didn't even mention the sample tool when the logo popped up we even saw the sample tool at least twice in the series, once when eida deleted the mona and then when eida got jumpsacred by the scout then there's the whole psb.lucy thing psb is bsp spelled backwards and the name itself is just strange instead of just lucy it's psb.lucy then near the end of the vid where she debuted, she was in a wrong position and t-posed we then saw her again in a weird version of half life(?) where she was standing out in the open the place was strange, it seemed to be half life 2's lost coast map, but the movement and the way the gun was held made me realise that this ain't half life 2 anymore and anomi didn't even say what that thing was (unless he did somewhere else, but i don't know), i think he only said that it was project skybox or something?

    On Data35 the console will display a bunch of info about how the player respawn timers has been set for the max amount of time and players only getting 1 respawn. Then it repeatedly sends "Player_Damaged" event notifications in pairs even with the video player paused and after quite a few of them it prints "ERRORNAME died" in a pair. An error message will then get printed saying there isn't a respawn location on the level. This will then repeat with the ERRORNAME players getting hurt until they die and getting warned about not having a respawn location indefinitely. My theory is that the SFM session of data35 is holding DMNPCs since there is some garbled text in the "Source Filmmaker 10th Anniversary Intro" DMX file about how DMNPCs can't be killed which is then further backed up in TF2s Data86 Heavy being immune to getting deleted. Perhaps the house we see the Demo Void probe in still has the DMNPCs we saw in Misty?

    Theory: these are session recordings from the DM Editor which could be a modified version of SFM to explain why they can be loaded into SFM, but all the other functionalities don’t work which is why you get those error messages in the console. Most of these are probably some unknown person in the editor creating a bunch of useless session recordings because they can’t delete their recordings off the FSKY server so they just feed Anomi with a bunch of junk to avoid them downloading any actual sessions they don’t want shared

    I have a suspicion that you are actually Anomi and part of the whole ARG... and if you aren't, kudos to you. This is phenomenal work. It matches the main investigation in tone extremely effectively. My jaw dropped when I saw a version of the surveillance truck thing reconstructed in the Half Life map... with the damned Ravenholm sign too. Something here is screwing with us.

    I feel like these sfm demos should be classified completely differently from the other games. For example, some demos included the TF2 mercs getting slowly distorted, like the AI was learning, we could classify them as type A. We can also see that some demos are actually trying to do something, like the engineer smiling, or the boot jumpscare, we could classify them as type B Again, this is just a suggestion, the ranking can be different

    Man when I think I have a good grasp of this series 10 new questions come up that baffle me. The SFM models move pretty similarly to how the crasher moved in the eida mona video. If we take the idea suggested in episode 8 of eidas interloper investigation, maybe this "spirit" (probably not an actual spirit but may function in a somewhat similar way) can posses a variety of things. Maybe am umbrella man is the result of this spirit possessing the dm editor (the ending of episode 8) maybe the crashers is sfm (or box rocket) getting possessed. Maybe the weird maps we keep generating is the Hammer editor getting possessed. Another theory about the crashers is that either its a fsky employee using a type 5 or sfm as a model to spook eida, or it's a disfigured type 5/sfm thing repurposed like the cheaples/dudes from spooky coast All of these pieces we've seen so far would in theory create a self sustaining world. The Hammer editor ai would create the world, the umbrella men would clean it up, the crashers might police it (eh I'm not confident in that) and the type 5 would live in it. If we assume four'two is fsky, their presentation was called "the anatomy of a world" Anyway interloper is my hyperfixation bye bye

    You guys remember how Eida had "captured a spirit" by allowing it to possess a ragdoll? Could this be what FSKY is doing here as well with those models slowly shifting and breaking? The scanner is also an interesting thing to see as well, maybe it's some kind of rudimentary type 6, scanning for potential DMNPC's? As for the boat that is a tough one, either it's a very recent demo or Anomi has some potential history with this whole Interloper buisness...

    17:02 in data35 is really interesting. If all the maps are connected and are a part of one big world, is it possible that a probe was captured by someone from fsky? If not and they only caught wind from the recent uploads, what purpose would they have in making one themselves?

    I also appreciate you documenting the console commands in SFM. I have not seen another video that does that. It really adds more context to wtf is happening in the sfm demos

    The movements of the light in data15 and its weird patrolling behavior reminds me of the head from the Type 5 in CS:GO. Makes me wonder if it's capturing something similar, but the model hasn't loaded in properly.

    The “Scout Crasher” from Eida could be a result of the interloper messing around with the scouts limbs, remember how the interloper can make its own maps? Well what else can it do.

    The ones where the mercs are T-posed and being contorted brings to mind what someone might do when they first use SFM, grab a TF2 model and mess around with the posing. Might have similar connotations to the similarities between Type 3 Demos and the Flashlight Nuke Glitch.

    I have to wonder about the meaning of all the demos where the Mercenaries & other NPCs are getting mutilated or twisted. There has to be SOMETHING to that, right? Is it just to show that whoever's POV they're from likes doing this to them? Is it a weird way of an AI learning something? Is how their limbs are being twisted a secret code? I've no idea what to even think of them. They're just weird. Data13 makes me think that maybe it's the first option - someone's obviously leaving notes in there, and the idea of making something "smile" feels like something only a human would want to do. But then, why?? And more importantly, who????

    Looking at some of the other findings, my conclusion is that these (the SFM ones anyway) are probably amalgamations of Anomidae's files, except messed with by something. Likely an Interloper of some kind, unless Anomidae REALLY doesn't like people going through their files. That being said, whether the NPC Manipulation is Anomidae's (maybe why they tried to brush off the SFM files in the first place?) or influenced by something else is yet to be seen. I still feel like the NPC Manipulation is really important, though - there HAS to be something to it. It feels so deliberate in some ways. Too deliberate just to write it off.

    Well we know the voice over in Eida's videos is done by his friend Jman. It's possible that Eida and Anomi are the same person. At the very least I agree that Anomi is an unreliable narrator.

    How do we know that? These demos were generated during the tuesday incident, giving Anomidae no time to recreate the car once he came back to his computer. I say it’s more of a sign of FSKY being aware of his interloping. I do agree that something up with Anomi, as he’s been proven to be an unreliable narrator and is been elusive with information so far pertaining to his PROJECT//SKYBOX mod and whatever made him leave so abruptly during the Tuesday Incident.

    What some people are saying about Data 32 is that it’s from Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe. I don’t think that is the case because if I remember correctly, that version runs on a different engine.

    That's right, The Stanley Parable Ultra Deluxe was made with a different game engine. Instead of using the Source Engine, Ultra Deluxe uses Unity.

    know this is probably pretty off, but data11 shares some similarities to type 5's. from the floating arms we see, to the way the camera moves. know its just the first person viewmodel, but the camera makes me think its something related.

    The ARG, sadly(?), is only from the Source engine, so until Anòmidae says something or someone else makes an ARG derived from it, nothing can be done in GoldSource and Source 2.

    13:55 the scout in the wall in a red 2fort base reminded me of the second type 5 generated in the original Interloper video. Then followed up with what looks to be similar to the map from Spooky Coast. I’m reaching here, but could many of these be the genesis of (or even the aftermath of) the type 5 demos? If that’s the case many of these would be type 5s that haven’t been found. Also, chillingly, if this is correct then the implication here is that whoever made these demos is playing with the ‘corpses’ of the dynamic NPCs spawned in the creation of the type 5s. Going with a lot of assumptions here but didn’t see anyone else mention that. Does anyone have any thoughts?

    Isn't data20 just using the map designed for Meet the Heavy's officially-released SFM files? Might be worth double-checking that, a lot of the map oddities could just be from grabbing chunks of other maps for the scene-setting. Sloppiness that doesn't matter if unseen.

    A few of these oddities seem to have the SFM bugs that Valve never wants to fix. Entire maps are just broken or need to be manually edited just to fix. Best example to learn about how bad SFM is LazyPurple's video shoing how much he suffered making how it feels to play engineer in SFM kzread.info/dash/bejne/mYF4yaqJgZO_lqw.html

    Now im actually wondering about l4d. I only have l4d Xbox 360 version. I actually made it so it can play on pc.. Dont ask how.. When i trued the interloper command. I saw ellis. Which doesn't exist. Smiling slowly then crashing my game. I dont know how this is possible. Ill try to post it on my channel.

    27015 and 27016 are likely network ports. maybe the sfm demos are pulling with a different protocol?
