Expanding my Gravel Driveway
I finally got around to expanding the lower section of my gravel driveway to allow for longer trailers to make it by my well head. Doing this expansion also allowed for the lower section to be leveled out more. Next will be to add in a row of rocks to hold in the gravel going up the first hill!

Yep! I have done a bunch of random jobs with it that I just didn't have the time to record near end of season. Hopefully more time to record this upcoming season!
Love it! Content and channel is the best. Liked and subscribed!
pretty cool video, surprised it doesnt have more views... keep up the good work!
Moving the head stone of the driveway was a good idea bcos it look like a cemetery 😅 nice video sir
Great video and narrative, although it took me a couple days to watch the entire thing. Gotta say one thing though, you live on one big rock pile, jeez!
their are a few tricks to digging in rocky area like you are doing there to be a little more efficient as well as being easier on your machines.
Great video I think you need to give your excavator more throttle. Sounds like you are running it on idle. You have nice machines :)

Thanks! I generally run it around ~1800 rpm, so its around 2/3s throttle most of the time. Just how that Doosan engine sounds.
13:45 We have found that is the BEST tool to attach the PowerTilt!
Great Video, What brand of tilt bucket system are you using on your mini x?
hi! i stumble in here and its nice to see u in action, u got a sweet touch working! have u ever consider make the investment of a tilt-rotor attachment, im from sweden and here its just odd to see a machine whitout one, but our way to work is inline what they are make for.
Need to move those propane tanks, they make me nervous on the driveway like that.
Why was smoke coming out of the ground as you were digging?
Do you still use your Kubota Bx23s for small contract work now that you upgraded to the tracked loader? I own the E35 and just replace my mid sized tractor for a T770, but have an opportunity for a Kubota Bx23s. In your opinion is it useful to own for access in tight areas and backyard landscaping?

Yeah, I still use the bx23s for a variety of small jobs that would just be overkill or non accessible for a tracked machine (skidsteer or excavator platform). Nice to have the light weight wheeled machine that doesn't turf or damage lawns.
Hey man, I love the combo! I have a landscape company and I’m debating what to do. I currently own a bx24 with the back hoe. I’m debating getting a l2501 with a hoe or getting a used bobcat e26 or a mini of that size. I do similar work to you. I have a job it’s spreading 120-150 yards of topsoil. I was thinking load the dump trailer with mini then tailgate spread it and use bx. What’s your thoughts? Bigger tlb or keep my bx and get a mini?

Thanks! Yeah, thats a tough call. I think you would be better off going with a mini and keeping the bx. Gives you more job flexibility than getting a larger TLB that would now not fit in compact areas and not compete with a mini at all.
What is that laser you use? Never seen one before? Awesome video. My wife and I both watch them.

I didn't use a laser in this video, but I presume you are referring to the ZipLevel Altimeter (the yellow corded item). Thanks!

If you're referring to the yellow corded item, it's called a zip level. They are pretty nice. We use them for working on stormwater systems where i'm at. They aren't as fast as a laser system but they are nice and accurate and far more cost effective than installing a laser system on your excavator or dozer. The ziplevel costs between $700-$1,000 depending on which model you get.
I know you don’t need to as you are doing this on your property but it may help us (the viewers) if you could spray or pre cut with a shovel or stretch a line along you proposed cut line?? 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
Can you come to CT and do some work for me ?
Do you ever tailgate spread with your dump trailer?

Turn that throttle up man!

I usually have it around 2/3s throttle (1800 rpm)
I was wondering if you have an desire to learn from an old man or are you happy with what you know already?
Love these but..... you cut so much stone but I've never seen you wear a mask! You'll probably be coughing at night time? Please wear a mask to protect you from the dust and particles. 👍🏽
When you going to move your mailbox
my question is how do you charge people, is it buy the hour or job and how much. just curious ?

I bid by the job so that the total scope and cost is known to both parties (myself and the client) prior to starting. I find hourly work to be too variable and more often than not leaves either party dissatisfied.
