I didn’t think I’d watch 51 minutes of “driveway resurfacing” but I did. Super satisfying. The inner child in me wants to drive all those pieces of equipment.

It's so nice to a young man that can run like machines like well oiled Swiss watch and know what he is doing because most kids his age can do little more than play with their dicks and cell phone. I watched it too not because I don't run machines either it's nice to see these thinking kids if he is local I got a little job if he wants it. It was a good video however where I live in northeastern Pocono's that was a cake job with no gigantic boulders sticking up out of that driveway. Leads me to believe an excavator earthed it as we call it some home owners here in the pocono area paid big bucks to have those annoying Klinkers remover and bed the driveway with the larger granite and clay packing material and that fine material he is manipulating went over the top. I did a few Towamensing Trails and Lake Harmony. Not every one wanted then lumpy bumpy boulders in the original homes path way as well as petrified prehistoric tree stumps that also turn up in new and existing construction

Andrew, I take my hat off to you sir. You truly are a one-man show. When I saw your truck stuck, I was like "what's he going to do now? There's no one else to drive another machine to pull him out." How dare I underestimate your "get'r done" initiative. At minute mark 23, when you set the Yanmar off on its own, I was like "ok, I've now seen it all, I should probably go back to my day job." Thank you so much for taking the time to share your work. It is truly inspiring. Keep it up!!

The work ethic, a self starter, the common sense approach to just about everything. Aside from the work he does, his videos are among the best on KZread. Great camera and drone work. "Soundtracks" are great. You can tell he is very detail oriented in absolutely everything he does. Back to his work....I wish he lived near me. And love that dog!

You’d be surprised. This country is slap full of Andrews we just don’t record it & post it on KZread. Not only that but the media just doesn’t promote people like us. That’s just not newsworthy. America is the place for self employed “ditch diggers”. Some of us only work enough to just make it through & some of us make a doctors salary or more. This guy is the embodiment of America & you’re finally getting a glimpse of it. This is literally what they mean by the “American dream” I gotta admit though, his calm and steady approach to everything is something I envy.. a lot.

I wasn't sure if I've watched this before.. until I saw the swing set. LOL I still enjoyed every minute of it.. twice! I broke my back 5 years ago now and I live in pain every single day, but I still get to live vicariously through you. I could probably run some equipment now in my current situation. I can run a lawnmower. I split my own wood, barely, and I'm a welder/fabricator, got a degree in welding through aws in California and had a bunch of certs.. Anyway my goal is to get back to self sufficiency. Use winches and cranes and hydraulics to run my own firewood processing setup. I used to own a c50 dump truck, a case 580 ck with the 18 foot extended boom hoe, and an international 504 loader with a 3 point hitch and a bunch of attachments I welded up myself. Boxblade, rear plow, wood splitter, fork lift, and a skidder boom. I left or sold all that off before I moved thinking I'd never have it again. What I'd give for a yanmar like yours and a dumptruck. Or even turning my f350 flatbed dually into a dump.

I was putting in a 30 pound storm window (20 years ago) and a swarm of wasps came out of the eaves when I was stung on my right eye 7 times. Walked to the hospital 4 miles for a shot of epinephrine and some prescription Valium. Worth the walk! Killed me some wasps later. Loved your bee spray!

Time will teach you. Diesel shifting is all about experience, especially on the older trucks. During the inaugural Truck Drags at Raceway Park, in Englishtown, NJ, I actually ran a 1965 KW cabover with a 318 Detroit and a rare (for a cabover) transmission. It had a Spicer 4x4 twin stick. The splitter was actually shifted by cable. Almost won, too. That old truck would run like it was shot from a cannon. And with oversized injectors, it could kill mosquitoes when you put you foot to the fire. :D Back in '76-'76 when I was an O/O with Matlack Tank Lines, I owned a long-nose KW with a 450 Cummins with a Spicer 5x4 twin stick. My first diesel job? I got a job at a concrete block factory. Guy asked me if I ever drove a diesel before. I said, "Yep, the Navy taught me." Lie. Drove out the gate with my first load, took a left pulled over and looked at the shift diagram on the dashboard. Smoothed a few edges off a couple of gears over the next few days (okay, a week or two), but I learned. Within the month I was only using the clutch for starting out and coming to the stop. You find you'll grind less not using the clutch, even downshifting going uphill. Oh, the old '65 KW? I got the job from the owner, who's back went out. I asked for the job, he said if I could shift it, I could have the job. He got in and we headed for the NJ Turnpike. I not only shifted it, I only used one hand to do it. (Yes, a lot of guys use two). We got back and he said, "Damn! You shift better than me and I've owned that thing for ten years. You got the job."
