Installing 2 Retaining Walls with Inset Granite Steps
Here we return to the neighbor of my parents where we grappled up a fallen tree earlier in the season to put in Genest Diamond Pro retaining walls with inset granite steps on either side of her driveway. These walls were complicated in nature due to the block type, block variances, grade, steps, trees and many other factors! Luckily, it all worked out and we were all happy with the resulting walls and steps. A major improvement over the previous wall.

Hi Jaz , I awesome video as always , I now the weather can be a pain , but never give up on ur dream 😊 lil advice. We’re u grind , use red oxide a just grind we’re u weld then after u weld , repaint again.. then it won’t rust until u pair ur choice of colour. An please get help when u take on those 8 m sheets of iron roofing .. it can be dangerous if a gust of wind comes up . Stay safe an keep smiling 🌹 can’t wait till next week .. 😊
Thanks good looking build for 3.16
turned that property into a rock star...
Wow amazing transformation. Please tell your Dad to wear a hard hat when working under the boom of the excavator. I'm 62 and have a huge scar on the back of my head from exactly this circumstance. Hydraulics leakdown when least expected.
Very good job scabbing in the new with the old.
Really Nice.
"The Granite State" ... it's only appropriate for the stone's use in landscaping applications. Quite the transformation, really really nicely done - Dad knows his way around a wall & taught you well!👍 It was great that you grabbed footage of *_all_* the work, made the video very interesting to watch.

Haha yes, definitely a lot of granite available around here. It also made it a lot easier, since we wouldn't have to mess with stepper blocks to make the stairs. Thanks, I do my best to make sure I get a full picture of the work from start to end.
Great job I like to do a little flower bed rocks but nothing to this scale! I admire your work and your patience and attention to detail
I just found out you quit PoE to do something constructive. I am extremely happy for you man. That game is a soul sucking drain, and to see you escape it to do something actually productive and meaningful, with your family, makes my heart swell. Keep at it man. Keep going strong.

Thanks man! I deifnitely still appreciate PoE and follow it closely. I just burned myself on it really hard pouring 60+ hour weeks into it making content and playing it over 4 years. That being said, this hobby/gig definitely feels more gratifying!

@@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC that game is an addictive, soul draining, absolutely worthless, addict creating, nothing. Put it behind you. Keep it there. Keep going forward man, you will do great and TANGIBLE things, for actual people, while also growing your own worth. You will make your family proud, and they will boast of your accomplishments rather than having to cringe about how much time you spend playing video games. You are on the right path, do not go back.
It's very intereting video! Love your work! from 🇰🇷

Haha thanks! I try my best to balance the both, but usually ends up being way easier to do timelapse + this project was really long.

No problem, I still follow the game closely and hope to play it more whenever PoE 2 launches. Thanks!
I had a piece of plywood just like that on my trailer floor for a couple years. I put some new 2x8s in about a month ago 😂
Looking great!

All of the equipment is owned by us, luckily didn't have to rent anything on this project other than hiring out the stump grinding!
I love your channel. You guys obviously have skills, know-how and experience but you don't clutter your videos with excessive talking, like-subscribe-ring-the-bell boilerplate, advertising and product placement. Like Andrew Camarata's channel you let the videos document themselves and you show us the whole project. Thanks!
the water drains through the gravel and no cement is necessary?
You don’t shy away from big projects! It’s looks great! Is this your full time job now or are you still working as a software engineer? I’d love to make to make a career change into something like what you’re doing. Again, it looks great!

Project came out awesome! How are you liking the bobcat machines? Specifically the E26?

Thank you! I really like both of the bobcat machines we have. The E26 has been awesome, hasn't let me down on a project yet! But definitely could benefit from a 5 ton machine on many jobs.

Excuse me for my ignorance. Don't the stairs need to be fixed somehow? Could the material under it erode away due to rain?
@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC
2 жыл бұрын
The angular stone under the stairs will remain in place due to compaction, weight of the stairs and its own friction.
