Excuse me, MISS...those are not your children 😂
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

Once again, I super appreciate that you give your kids their privacy! Thank you for taking their comfort as a first priority over content.
I love Kevin’s plans to get the cabinets from “some rich person.” 🤣😂😆

🤣 I know!!
I love how you respectfully allow your children to decide how much they want to be involved with the channel. There are so many 'van parents' and the like using their children as stage props and filming everything including punishments and humiliation, with no regard for the needs of the child they're tormenting.
Quail (particularly coturnix) are so much fun to hatch but the moment they hatch, they try to unalive themselves for the rest of their days. It’s fun watching them as babies sleep. They do a lot of corpse pose to scare you. 😅
HEY! Hello and thumbs UP!!
THAT is such a great ultrasound video! You can see the baby so clearly.. So fun!
Plan C seems best; the most functional and flexible
Hi, love all your post. My husband has raised chickens all his life but in Puerto Rico. I showed him the eggs and he told me that the rooster is the one in charge of selecting the nest. If you have more hens then roosters he will get confused and put more than one hen in each nest. If you observe the rooster, he will be next to the hen when she is about to lay her egg and he will sound “Chook, chook, chook”, the same way he does when calling a hen for treats, but this time the sound will be louder, the hen will know the nest has been selected. Yes you can divide the eggs, can be quail eggs also, the hens will sit on the eggs when her body temperature is 105° F to 106° F.
Biggest advice I can give for hatching quail is to be careful with the hen you use! I know they're very small and fragile so having a big mama is usually risky. If you want to try I'd suggest hatching quail out with your smallest hen since their chicks would be the closest to that size

I think the silkie might be their smallest hen.

I think that the silkie is too big for quail babies. It would also be safer and momma and babies were moved out from the coop before hatching, for their protection.
I’m so excited to see another round of gorgeous kids... congratulations Mama’s 🥰🕊
We go to Habitat for Humanity’s Restore. They always have great cabinets.
Your goaties are prolific. The kids look so good and so happy. Life rolls on. 💞
Ohhhh my goodness look at all them eggs
Love you all. ❤
Daphne produces beautiful does and hoping for her buck to keep as she proven already a quality babies to continue her line. Wynonna, Shania and River for sure some of their babies you will keep to expand your competitive team in goat shows and as farm is growing. With Honey a trial and error genetic will check the development how it will goes or she will reward you a babies to keep also. I'm expecting more desirable babies in the farm soonest. God bless always to the family and love love love. ❤️🙏
Plan C looks good as you guys will have more space and room.
Danelle: hopefully daphne doesn’t have a lot Daphne with a million different sacs
We lost our 13 year old lamancha today. Give Luna a few extra scratches from us, you never know when it will be the last scratches.
It is so awesome that Ethan caught you to cut his hair!❤
I look forward to the ultrasound and always hoping for no more than two. They only have two teats 😂
🥰😍😍😍 My favorite chickens🎉❤❤❤

I raise quail, they are the cutest little critters, I love picking them up and giving them cuddles....so cute!!! They are great egg layers. I hatch new babies in an incubator each year. Baby quail are tiny and extra cute.

What type do you raise? I have buttons
Quail are best hatched in an incubator. Also u will have to have Kevin do a craft and build u a quail house. Their small and chickens pick on them, also if they escape or let free range for some reason they disappear. But I love quail. And the eggs are awesome
“Some rich person” I love Kevin so much😂

I'm interested in your quail project! Going to take notes 😅
I think you should definetly hatch some out from Marilyn. I do want to point out that Wynonna does look a lot like Dolly haha. How cute.
Love your adventures.
Loved seeing some of the chickens.
I love you guys!
I am due with my own baby around the same time as the goats 😂
I def think you should take advantage of a broody hen! If she really is broody hatch some eggs! She’ll keep them warm enough in your cooler temps. And when babies hatch it’s super easy to put a mamma hen in a big tote with babies and heat lamp and feed and water. I do it all the time (not so much here in winter the northern climate) but I’d def do it in AZ!!
QUAIL!!!! I have 5 myself & they’re amazing!!
Not Daphne with 5-6 sacks 😅 hopefully she doesn't end up having many
Raise California quail!!! They're so cute!!
Thanks guys 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 🍁🍂🦃🍂🍁
I’m getting so excited to see the babies! Some of them are due right near my birthday! And I loved seeing Luna today! ❤️🐐
I hope you are feeling better.
I absolutely love quails and would love to raise them etc, it’s annoying how they can’t (eat chicken food or)well they can but they need extra stuff)) be kept with them so will need more space for them x
Silkies are amazing mother's. They are incredibly protective of their broods.
Honey is due on my 20th birthday!!

I LOVE the floorplan. So glad you are keeping the woodstove, I think you will really enjoy it and it adds so much character too.
You should definitely do quail! I raised them for a few years now and love them❤
I'm looking forward to your building project! Hopefully I can once again absorb some useful knowledge from your experiences. I learn so much from this channel!
I am excited for your cottage!
You guys are so blessed to have Kevin and his stills! You definitely save heaps with his great shopping and doing the work. I dare say more Kevin’s crafts coming up.
Looking forward to watching you move in the cottage! Thank you for the video!
Sounds like your black silkie should be named Malificent😂
Get some Quail eggs for the broodie chicken as they are so cute and the ring they call out is nice...but I think by memory 3 females to 1 male...yes do Quail...NOW... I hope River doesn't have that many babies only for her health...good luck with cottage...❤❤❤
I'm excited to see the cottage build, so many Kevin's Krafts!
Happy for you that all the girls are pregnant & always love seeing YOUR kids & that Luna girl!
First!!!😊
Do y'all have any tip for showing goats. I'm showing in May if you do please tell me.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Love your vids
Silkies are so adorable
Hatch quail!
I love jicama Id never had it until I traded at a wedding. I can’t believe I missed it all those years. Cog hill farm showed their new Coturnix quail today they are a special gene type and they lay perfectly beautiful blue eggs.❤
Good to see your kiddos.
I think you should do the quail. Little mrs. Marilyn deserves some babies ❤
YaY, I love ultrasound days😊. I'm so pleased to hear that you 2 are getting to see your Babes ❤. A little cabin would be great! I love the layout🎉. The Chicken dish looked yummy! JO JO IN VT 💞
How cute! 🤍 That's a bunch of eggs
Yes give her some button quail eggs my silky girls love hatching out a little button quails and they’re very good mothers!
One of my favourite videos, you guys have gotten so much more personable, interactive and family wise

4:55 Whoop! There it is 😂
So excited! Honey is due on my birthday! Can’t wait to see cute baby goats
I think plan C is perfect! You can even hang a curtain in front of the two beds for a little more privacy, but still feel the warmth of the stove AND, not have the permanency of a wall right there!
I think you could go for quail! They'd hatch out around the beginning of December? They'd be grown enough by the time January started, don't you think? I want to try quail too, especially since they're native but we don't even have fences yet. LOL.
I think Chickens hatched soon would likely do well through winter, so long as they have an easy way to follow Mama and cannot get out of the yard at all, and would be good to have a semi covered area for her to cuddle them that the chicks can enter and exit with NO troubles, but I think quail would really struggle if you want the hen to raise them, because they are so tiny, UNLESS you set up a brooder for when they hatch so you'll be able to keep them plenty warm enough. IF you plan on a brooder for whatever kind of chicks it will definitely need to be one with very little natural draft moving through it so the babies don't get a chill or too cold.
I love jicama. You should try eating it with lime juice and tajin.
Hi
On Honey’s baby, I think I would be able to tell if it’s a buckling. Don’t think I could see if it’s a doe. It looks so much like a human baby, seeing legs, spine and ribs!! So cool!!!
Cant wait to see the baby goats they going to have beautiful colors and patterns
Question - is the move permanent? I’m glad to have a video to watch.
Love the ultrasounds!! But what happened to good goat math?? 2 teats 2 kids 😉🐐🐐
I love jimicca sticks with lime juice sprinkled on it!
Love the plans !! I raise Japanese quail , lovely egg layers. The chicks are fragile in the first few days . ❤🦘🦘
Plans look great on paper but if you can, chalk them out on the floor and take a look. 😎✌️
Looks like at least 10-12 kids this year!!
Only very little bantams can hatch quail, the eggs are tiny
I vote try for some baby quail!
River has a minimum of 5, I'm guessing!
Cool ❤❤❤❤
Also in your area winter would be better for a chicken to sit in cooler Temps than scorcher summer
Thanks for talking about jicama. I have had it before but forgot about it. I will try to get some
Wynnona has 2 and one small one, Reba has three, now I lost count. River has 3-4, Honey, I lost count.
Jicama is so delicious with hummus! Yum!
Jicama is also super yummy with lime and tajin on it! 😋
Yes absolutely hatch
Cherish your children when they move on to heaven with out you is world shattering. I lost my daughter by the hand of another
If a feb 5th is a day early i would sharing my birthday with a bunch of goats
I say go for the quail.
I hatched out quail under a silkie and it didn't work out. Don't hatch out anything that can fly. The poor mama watched her babies fly away when they were too little.
