Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more! Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. We also raise chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We love eating farm-to-table. Having a little farm in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

You should try to guess the name of the chickens ❤

I've never seen the full process before. I watched your videos to see what a respectable/non-commercial way of slaughtering a chicken was actually like. Commercial processing houses don't sit well with me, and I eventually would like to raise my own animals for meat. This was informative. I appreciate it. Great video.
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢sssss
Black Mission figs are the best-tasting variety (in my opinion) and do great in the Phoenix area.

Tilly will always be in our heart for the rest of ours
Sorry for your loss because she was probably like a kid to you and that made me cry but we will always think of her and of how long she was with us and how many memories we made over the years with Tilly. And just to let you know its going to be stressful not seeing her on the farm but we will always think of Tilly
This is like a device you use for sheep. Sheep are not acrobats like goats are; their frames are different. Sheep are very spooky and stupid. So the idea of holding a hoof on a stand normally doesn't work so a device like this, you have to use. When I did my sheep's feet I first of all ran them down to catch them (sheep are not friendly and personable like goats even after bottle feeding) and since I'm alone, I would put them on their side and sit on them to get the job done. I don't think this thing will work for goats! Good luck!
Okay dead ass I just remembered this account from like 3-4 years ago that’s crazy
scared with a "P" is Petrified.
We live in Gilbert, 1 acre flood irrigated lot and are considering making our own pond. We have a loader / excavator on the way. I found some (probably old) information about Arizona permitting for these types of ponds are behind the curve - - was it an issue to get the permit through? We have had the little shrimps and mystery snails - those would probably be great to add in the pond. I love the rocks, will need to find out where to get those from! Very lovely NP! Great job!
Hay from Cumming Ga love your channel 🎉
