We got our Pitbull when she was 4 weeks old because her Mama had 10! pups and couldn't feed them all. We named her Athena and she has been the biggest blessing. We were given her shortly after my husband got out of the hospital recovering from a head-on collision with an SUV while riding his Harley. I count my Blessings daily!!!!

Life has been hectic around here. My mom came home only to fall and break a hip. After surgery she never recovered. We lost her yesterday at 3:51am. Losing a loved one is never easy or convenient with timing. I'm staying strong, but the loss is great. She lived to be 100 and was sharp until her last few days. I can only hope to be that lucky. I promised to keep you and your parents updated, but I just had so much on my plate. Now comes the hard part of settling her affairs, funeral arrangements, and selling her house. Florida will be home for a bit. The little puppy is so cute! His coloring is adorable. Thanks for getting my mind off of everything. ❤

They know that! The mother was a small 35lb and 7 in the liter and they were tearing her up. She was kicking them off. So the owners were looking for people to help feed and take care of them.

Have you thought about getting or painting herc’s food tubs so the naughty goats don’t see it as their food bowls it may help train the goats that if it’s not black it’s not their food bowl?

We had a female pit who had puppies that were full blood pits. It was the 1st time I had ever been around pit puppies. But you're right about the pups teeth. Our litter of pups was born with teeth. I couldn't believe it. By the time they were 2 1/2 weeks old, they were eating puppy food and nursed some. And at 4 wks old, momma was over it. Can't say I blame her one bit. She had 10 of those little chompers on her. 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶

I think Bruno is such a cute name for puppy. Training and taking care of a puppy alone is a full time job. Puppies love that crackling sound that you hear when Bruno was playing with his Ducky. It’s just a piece of plastic like a water bottle that’s inside that toy. When I had my puppy I started tossing an empty water bottle to her. I learned quickly that wasn’t going to work bc she would chew it into pieces and I couldn’t have her swallowing those pieces. So watch out for the time when toys may be worn out and tattered. Mine was a notorious chewer so everything ended up chewed to bits. We all certainly get our fix on baby goatlet love, puppy love, talking goat etc. and all that goes along with you guys feeding and loving on the other farm animals. Thoroughly enjoy. I get to start my day with laughter bc of you guys and that’s such a nice feeling.

Kyle & Shannon I commend you for taking on this breed dog for help guarding the animals I actually have a mixed breed dog also that I rescued & she’s amazing with the animals she’s 3 yrs old now and may I suggest to take him around the birds & chickens once you get them because any dog will chase birds it’s a natural thing but put a leash on him now & take him around them to “leave it” the birds wish I would’ve done this because she chases the birds still but Bruno is a great name & addition❤

Our last dog's name was Brutus. He looked like a little black Scottish terrier mix. my husband saw him tossed out the back of a car on an industrial road near his work. He rolled into a ditch, came up from the ditch and started barking at the car as he saw it keep going down the road. He brought Brutus home and the reason for the name was the way he introduced himself to the ladies of the house, Bianca and Bridget. He had attitude and it never changed. Brutus was the name because it was as big as he thought he was. We had him for 16 years and lost him last year. He lived up to his name/attitude every day. He still was the baby of the family and also took advantage of that also.

I think you've hit the nail on the head with little guy's name. I don't know why, but Bruno fits him perfectly! He looks like a Bruno - whatever a Bruno is supposed to look like! Good naming!! So much activity. I enjoy their playing. I watch often since I broke my foot. You will find the perfect name. Oh my gosh I had a Bruno Doberman. Good to have if spouse works 3rd shift. Great with our young kids.

I used to have a half putbull and half Redbone hound. I got him at 4 and half weeks old. He was twice the size of all the other puppy's in his litter. I name him Killer, not because he was mean or anything, but he just looked so cool. I said to myself he looks Killer. And that name stuck to him like glue. And one time he weighed 180 pounds, but he wasn't not fat, all mucle. God bless you both 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I love the visits to the Goats for feeding, the conversations that are had, & Herc is adorable... I like the name LOKI but I also like the name SCOUT, either of these names would suit him.. He is so gorgeous.. I had a Pit, he was 3 months short of 15 years old when he passed away, I miss him badly.. Tyson was my saviour after passing of my Son to a Brain Tumor, (the worst you could get)..Tyson was always with my Son keeping him company, then my Daughter to suicide, it was a traumatic time.. Tyson was my rock.. Now I have an American Staffordshire BullTerrier named Jonah, he is my emotional support Dog, he makes my days very happy now..😀😀

I love catahoulas. My Daddy had a herd of cattle that were on 7800 acres. I got him a catahoula pup for his birthday. He named him Buck. He said he was the best cattle dog he had ever had. They can literally take down a cow when they need too. I would recommend you be consistent with your training. They are very intelligent, but also very head strong and can be aggressive if not kept in check. So you two need to be consistent with discipline. Biting and aggression are not acceptable. They are awesome dogs and precious pups but always follow through. He really is a cutie!! I love his leopard spots!!! I also love the Name Sampson!! His breed is very strong.
