love how Herc's instincts kicked right in when he saw Jr. He was cleaning up like he was cleaning up the blood. such a good boy. btw i have a friend who raises goats for over 30 yrs, when she has a bottle baby she puts baby onesies on them on the cold nights till they are big enough to handle the temps. just a thought.... Nala is actually doing well with the lil guy. he may be the one to break her into the goats

Spruce is just the cutest! I'm sure any additional animals will be an adjustment for Herc. I'm glad that the little guy is enjoying the love and cuddles that you both have to offer. 🐐🐐🐐🐐

The baby RJ is precious. He can't figure out why he has no mom. He will think Shannon is his mom cause she's feeding him. Ya'll are so great!

This is awesome Kyle and Shanon! Nothing like a crash course in baby goating and newly acquired Peach who is quite intelligent (hot wire-wise) all in 24 hours! Y'all will do great with all of it and before long will be saying 'remember when...' Good times!

Herc licking the baby is a good sign. A good LGD will adopt the baby and protect him. Be sure to warm the bottle in hot water, not microwave. He is so cute. You guys are getting a crash course and doing great!

Herc is fine! He's already cleaned up baby's after birth. He knows this is one of his to protect! He is adorable.

Herc is putting himself between the baby and Nala. That is his job to protect the new ones. They help clean the newborns. so wild things don't eat the babies. Kevin at Hidden Heights dogs are the baby sitters for the whole herd. You guys are doing so good.

Spruce and Mama Peach are great additions to the farm. You guys are so lucky to have them.

Peach is so calm and the baby goat is so precious. Being a bottle baby, he will follow yall everywhere. If, you have a side by side , he would ride with you. Herc is so good around the new goats.

What a great spot to keep the baby warm. It can officially be called a barn now

I think Peach and Spruce are two cute new tree additions to Shady Acres!

Spruce is such a perfect name for the little one. Peaches will fit in soon enough. Hope you two can concur the red wasps. Thank you for your vlogs they are funny, informative, and demonstrate what two people who love each other can accomplish together❤

Thrown into how to take care of Bruce's son. That Shannon will love him dearly and already attached to him. Spruce is a great name that rhymes with his dad Bruce. Great addition to the farm thanks to brother Chad. Wait to see how his personality takes in a couple of weeks.

So glad Y'all got Spruce. Mama Peach and Spruce have a good forever home. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.

Please be careful not to let him over eat (some goats will so they can be nurtured longer). You can tell if he is full by feeling under his belly and it's better for him to stand and eat. Anyway I know Chad told you everything you need to know. He's adorable and I love that you are cuddling with him, he will be easier to handle later because of it. Welcome Peaches also, she's very pretty. I've never seen females stay with the males if they aren't in heat. I know you will take good care of them both, no doubt. I have pygmy's quick tip that you can use for all your goats. Put collars on them then if they get out or if you have to give meds just gives you something else to grab onto. Also so happy that you shared a day early! So exciting congrats your doing great and they will have a great home at Shady Acres.

Here is such a great LGD! He automatically knows that that is his baby! He's going to be all up in that business anytime someone gets around that little one! Herc has adopted Peach, too. When she got out he ran to check on her when you brought her back & tell her not to escape again. Good boy! Mama Peach has settled right in! "Fence? Not a problem. Baby? Nope, not mine.".

The baby is so adorable! 😍 Can't wait to see him jumping and climbing around.

Does it matter if your male is so much bigger than the female? I just wondered, would the babies be bigger and harder for her to have them? They are all adorable, congratulations on expanding your fur family. Blessings 🙌

Spruces dad was bigger than the mother and she dropped three that size then just left.

Mama Peach is definitely mama material. She did more than Spruce’s own biological mom did. She checks on him when he cries. It bodes well for her future offspring with loverboy Mario. Both new goats are a perfect addition to your farm. Nala put her stamp of approval on Spruce, too.

Little Spruce is so adorable! Also, I happen to be a fan of Papa Bruce, I think he is a beautiful goat, and I like the way he kinda takes charge over at Adler Farms. 😊 Love how your herd is growing with Mama Peach and little Spruce. Thanks for introducing the two newest members of the family Mama peach and spruce love the name. Yall are doing amazing with spruce on his feedings and taking care of him. Mama peach will get used to everything and the lay of the land and the boundaries of the electrical fence and get used to Hercules and not run out of the fence. Everything will work out just fine. I know you're going to say I'm crazy maybe get a second female for her to hang with that may help her feel more comfortable, where she's not the only goat. Yall got this, yall are doing amazing.
