Insomniac spider man is by far the best adaptation/interpretation of the character ever IMO. We’ve had the high school scene many times over, and I think spectacular spider man is the second best adaptation imo. I know a lot of people can agree with me on this. An experienced Spider Man is something that is fresh and rarely touched upon, until now. Insomniac did it right. It’s perfect

He absolutely killed it. That last scene between him and the [final boss] (avoiding spoilers) was incredible. I was genuinely surprised and impressed with how much raw emotion he showed as peter in that scene (along with others.) Congrats Yuri, you’re my new favorite Spider-Man.

I love Yuri's enthusiasm in this interview. I can see why they chose him to be the web-head.

Whenever I read the Spider-Man comics in my head I read it in a voice that I didn’t know until recently sounds exactly like him or the ultimate spiderman cartoon, imo yuri is the definitive Spider-Man voice actor

Yuri Lowenthal is my favorite Spider-Man ever. He is in a holy trinity with Josh Keaton and Andrew Garfield

this man is Yosuke from Persona 4(and other characters in that series), Peter Parker, and Sasuke, this man is a national treasure

Find it interesting how like this guy for Peter Parker, Kevin Conroy just does a slight exaggeration of his own voice for Bruce Wayne

The voice sounds exactly the same

The fact he read every line in the game twice (1 for if your player is just walking/standing/perched and another for If you're swinging) is amazing focus to detail. Insominiac and Yuri hit a home run on trying to make this game seamless. Try it out while playing mid phonecall convo.

Sasuke was the role of a lifetime, so was Ben 10, this guy has lots of great roles.

Not super familiar with his work although I did play Prince of Persia and I am aware he is Sasuke, but as Spider-Man he sounds super enthused and wonderful. You can tell he is playing a dream role.

Yuri Lowenthal was an excellent choice! I’d first heard of him from RWBY and Camp Camp, and he’s quickly become one of my favorite voice-actors. I’m glad it’s him playing Spider-Man!

I remember during the 2000s when Yuri was considered "over-casted"; he was frequently getting roles as JRPG protagonists who were young, brash, often hot-headed and occasionally unlikable. It's so great to hear him doing a role that has a more wholesome and lovable tilt. He's a fantastic actor and his chops in this one are to be commended!

He is the man who made my childhood... respect for this man🙏

The guy is a Legend as far as I'm concerned, Voiced The Prince of Persia one of my all time favourite video game franchise characters and also Sasuke Uchiha from the Naruto anime! Absolutely Legend.

his voice is badass and the perfect for choice for spidey. his tone, accent, and diction fits right to the character.

This is without a doubt my favorite version of Spider-Man while it doesn’t quite top the live action Raimi trilogy that I grew up with, it’s definitely such a unique take on the character and it’s just become the main story and the main version I think about when I think of what Spider-Man is or should be. I’m so excited for us to be getting a second. Saw Venom and now it’s just one of the only things I think about now 😄

That Batman line was hilarious and unexpected haha. But in all seriousness I really like this guy's voice for Spidey, it sounds appropriate for his age.

I feel that the hate people give the Tobey Spider-Man in recent months/years is really undeserved. It was a series made with clear passion and love for the character(which is also nice to see being reflected with Insomniac and Yuri making this game :D ) The Tobey films are classic and he has easily the most iconic moments out of all the films and lines. the "friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man" line was used in the first Tobey film and the "Go web go" scene is still an iconic and hilarious scene and I love how even Yuri said it was a "classic" line. It shows that even the current Spider-Men still have respect for the Tobey films (If Tom didn't have respect for them then he wouldn't want Tobey to play Uncle Ben in his version of Spidey). Though Uncle Ben didn't say the responsibility line in the comics, the Tobey film portrayed and delivered the lesson so well that many people view it as Uncle Ben's line and they even showed Uncle Ben saying it along with Yuri here. Just warms my heart. I'm not asking for Tobey to return to the role or b*tching because Spider-Man 4 wasn't made, I'm just saying that even though we all have our favourite versions of the character, I still think that we should all at least understand the Tobey films as they are incredible, faithful adaptations of our most beloved hero :)

Even the Tom Holland Spider-Man is not close to being that accurate imo, though it depends on what era of comics you look at cos there are so many. The web shooters being organic isn't accurate but that doesn't make it a bad change as long as they stay true to the character which they did. That's something I love about the Raimi films, they were faithful adaptations of an already beloved character and presented him in a way which explored him in an emotionally investing way and got almost every detail about the character spot on and even if aspects like his humour weren't in our faces but it was still present in a way which could differentiate the Spider persona from Peter, and being Spidey still looked a helluva lot of fun :)

Tom Hollands spidey is the most accurate by far and I'm looking at the early days of Spidey in the two main universe 616 and ultimate he has the awkward nerdiness of peter parker and the hyperactive jokester of Spidey the classic movie had very few jokes while in costume the only memorable jokes were "cute costume you're husband give it to you?" And its you who's out gobby out of you're mind" both from the first movie and the mechanical webbing exists to show peters intellignece

christopher apologies for the amount I'm about to write there were a couple more jokes than that which showcased Spidey's upbeat attitude. "woo, well beats taking the subway. Don't mind us she just needs to use the elavator" "hey kiddo let Mom and Dad talk for a minute will ya" I know there weren't many but there were enough to showcase an upbeat attitude whilst not being used at a constant which could ruin an intense or serious situation. Peter's intelligence was also still present in both movies. In the first 10 minutes of the film he says about how he wrote a paper on nanotechnology and understood it which impresses corporate scientist Norman Osborn, mentions how "this is the most advanced electron microscope on the eastern seaboard? it's unreal" and about how "some spiders change their colours to blend into their environment, its a defence mechanism" When he meets Otto Octavius he recognises what his machine is and how it works and even has concerns about it when Otto was completely confident it would work. imo Tom Holland isn't the most accurate, (that isn't necessarily a bad thing but it does bring up one or two problems imo). sure he has the jokes, awkwardness(which Tobey also has just pointing out), upbeat Spidey attitude and web shooters and is a highschool Spider-Man, however those are face-value aspects. The ones which I'm referring to are the fact that Tom's Peter has plenty of friends, has a young capable Aunt May who can take care of herself just fine, takes away much of Peter's independence and really doesn't face many actual consequences. We get people being disappointed in him but really the film doesn't have the guts to punish Peter. He ditches Ned at the party and Ned makes a sarcastic remark. He ditches the decathalon team again and they win anyway. He goes missing from his teacher and fellow students in a different city and nobody kicks up a fuss about where he is, we don't even see Ned make up an excuse as to where he's at, they just pop him in detention whereas it would've been more impactful to show an awkward situation for Peter actually getting in trouble. We do get Aunt May getting worried over Peter but she stops being mad when he says he lost the internship rather than ground him despite how stressed she has been trying to find him and that he keeps running off. And when Liz leaves at the end despite having Peter abandon her multiple times and ditch her at the Homecoming dance(which should've been a longer scene) she still wishes him the best. I get that this is his first film in the MCU but it isn't Spidey's first film period. I feel that they should've done better with the consequential side and thought things through more rather than trying to be too different from the other films. I understand completely the need to be new and fresh as it's the third iteration of the character within 15 years, I am aware of that, but just because something's different doesn't mean it's better, that's my main issue with Homecoming it changed so much but didn't convince me that it changed for the better. Though everyone else likes it so whatever. I loved Tom in Civil War and I don't blame you for liking him too but Homecoming and Infinity War just didn't sell me on this version of Spidey :/ If yo don't agree I hope you at least can understand, because if I ever express my opinion on the matter Tom fans just refer to me as not a "true fan"

I respect that this is you're opinion and I see where you're coming from but as a longtime fan I just don't think Tobey is a good spiderman sure he was an excellent peter but as Spidey he was just a bit lacking also just to point out spidermans jokes are supposed to be annoying

God I love this guy! Such an amazing actor. Stunning work as Ben 10 and now Spider man!

It's also crazy how he recorded almost all of his lines twice. Once normally, and once while swinging.
