They were the first developer Sony went to, to develop a Marvel game so I wouldn't say they're underdogs at all.

At 4:08 Ted says that they view themselves as underdogs; and explains their reasoning. I can definitely see where they are coming from, sure they've made Spyro and Ratchet & Clank, but also Resistance 3, Sunset Overdrive and Ratchet & Clank (2016) which while good games, didn't had exceptional sales. They are underdogs in the sense that, despite being veterans, the name Insomniac doesn't have quite the same weight that Rockstar, Naughty Dog, PlatinumGames, Santa Monica or even younger devs like CD Projekt Red have. I wasn't trying to underestimate their talent or history, what I meant was that Spider-Man could very well catapult them to those new heights.

Ira Ford No. This game’s storyline pertains to Spider-Man solely. It’s a contained storyline, much like solo MCU movies (solo Iron Man’s etc). However, the impact of the Avengers and other Marvel characters are still felt, given the existence of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Santorum and Avengers Tower within the game.

Cameron Pack That’s the same shit. The Batman Arkham games were always a self contained story, that were apart of an already larger DC universe. Just like the self contained MCU movies that don’t involve the Avengers as the main focus, and yet they still exist.

I've always liked Ted Price; he seems like a very level-headed, honest individual and when he talks it's clear that he isn't full of himself and he's happy doing his little thing. Very humble genuine man (and hes not a fricking weirdo like so many other big Devs are in this industry).

Game development is more difficult than making a movie. Perfect game must have great story, great characters, excellent graphics and also engaging fun gameplay. To nail all this is not an easy task, but Spiderman 2018 did it all. Take a bow Insomniac!

Been a fan of Insomniac games since the first Spyro. I've enjoyed every one of their games that I have played. I don't have a single worry about the quality of Spider-man, it will be top notch.

Approached by Sony and Marvel and they show them all of their franchises and ask them "what do you want to work on?"...... WOW!.. that's incredible... Insomniac is blessed to be working on this game and I wouldn't be happier if it were any other developer because, for one, they picked Spider-Man to develop, and you can tell they are passionate about this game and delivering an incredible experience and I have faith in them.

I've been a fan of Insomniac since my mind was first blown by Spyro Year of the Dragon. I couldn't be more proud of what it appears they are accomplishing with this game.

Insomniac's track record has been fantastic, and the fact they don't just crank out titles like other studios speaks to their talent as well.

I wish them all the best because this game will either sink them or make them fly.

Dang, watching interviews from Insomniac makes me want to root for them. Another one is Hazelight Studios ; developer of 'A Way Out' and 'It Takes Two'

Ratchet and clank has the BEST soundtrack of any game I've ever played. And it still looks beautiful and holds up today. A masterpiece.

Man, Insomniac sounds like such a pure and committed company. Each one of these videos shows how much work and care they put into this game (compared to other bigger companies like EA who only care about money) and that makes me more excited for this game to release

i have literally grown up with insomniac games, and spyro was my first video game when i was a toddler. to hear them still consider themselves underdogs in the industry is so humbling, because i personally see them as one of the last of their kind - a company that truly makes video games out of passion and love for the medium. theyre on my list of best out there, along with sucker punch, naughty dog, and cdprojekt red, just to name a few.

IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS GAMEEEEEEEEEE

Ted Price is a guy that TRULY loves what he does, many folks jump around, company to company, field to field, Ted co-founded and till this day has remained with Insomniac, respect!!

I think Naughty Dog (known for uncharted) should do a Captain America game and Sucker Punch (known for infamous) Should do an Ironman game While Insomniac makes a sequel to Spider-Man

This is a bit random but Price looks pretty similar to Batman in Arkham Knight. I hope the game is as good as it looks. But considering they're massive fans and I've been seeing pretty much every video available both official and from fans/consumers I know it will be. I can't wait!

I am afraid Insomniac might end up like Traveller's Tales, which used to have a diverse set of awesome games, but now is now only working on LEGO related stuff.

I wouldn't say loyal ..more to have good relationship with Sony ( a really good one)..they make sunset overdrive for MS too and they want to make sequel but MS doesn't say anything yet ..Sony do tried to buy them but they want to stay independent ...any 1st party studio is referred as those studios own by certain company ..well not counting EA or Activision or taketwo..they stay 3rd party

I am a 'spider-head' and i have always been disappointed with SM games. I know it is a grand challenge to make a game with a character that can do what SM does in the environment he does it in. That's why I think *whoever* developes SM games should have a dedicated engine that is designed to handle the specific requirements of a SM game. Keep the good parts good and focus on the details that need to be polished. [ Landing, dismounting, character model movement when traversing walls (especially transitions), and more ] For once in my life, i want to watch SM reach over the edge of a building and pull himself up in a video game.

They had the option of picking whatever franchise they wanted to...damn son. They could’ve chosen Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, etc. but yeah Spider-Man makes the most sense for who Insomniac is. Although I REALLY want an Iron Man game! Please!

Huh..so that's why this Spiderman is PS4 exclusives....I read somewhere from recent interview that Bryan Intihar actually in awe and respect the quality of Sony 1st party games and when Sony give them the opportunity to make this Spiderman , he say he want the quality of this Spiderman to be in the same level or raise the bar yet again
