My son was raised a muslim, went to america and ended up in prison there. Because he spoke Arabic and could recite the Quran, he was protected by the muslims. That was back in early 2000's. Alhamdulilah

It happens outside too, I saw a guy being rude to a Muslim family, this Muslim family did not know me, I stood next to the Muslim male and all we said was “salaam” to each other and he knew I had his back and the other guy saw it was 2 of us he walked off. After that we just said Salaam to each other and went separate ways, never saw him again. Again another Muslim couple who were at petrol station feeling up gas and the guy didn’t know he had less money so his card keep getting decline, as a Muslim I knew this brother was Muslim from African origin and I was salaams bro you good, he was like I don’t know why it keep getting declined, I was like don’t worry I got you, I paid for his and mine fuel. He was like let me repay it and I said to him “if you want to pay me then do 2 things, pray for me and out that amount in charity (sadqah) for me, ALLAH show mercy to us both”. we both said Ameen and went our way and we never saw each other again. Insha’Allah I’ll meet this brother in Jannah, ameen. I’m not saying this to brag but it’s a reminder after reading comments Muslims do unite outside too and in huge number of require regardless of their colour, their origin, their background because what keep us together is or statement of truth our Shahadah “There is none worthy of worship except ALLAH and Prophet Mohammed is messenger of ALLAH” 😊

The concept that Jesus is God wasn’t at even existent during the time of Jesus for all religions. The concept that Jesus is God came hundreds of years after Jesus. I became Muslim at 17 while sitting in prison charged as an adult all my associates were Muslim and I loved how they are together and fought together and prayed together and I knew in an environment like that where Everyone else is backstabbing each other it was rare to see unity and when asked I took my shahada it’s a shame it’s been watered down a bit and the discipline was lost but it was a good influence

In 2010, in my engineering days, lecturer of Data Base systems who was from south India said they Muslim have unbreakable unity and being a Hindu, he loved it about Islamic religion..

Let me say something as a guy who used to be in the criminal world selling alot of drugs. I have seen alot of people die and get murdered. All from the ages of 4-35. I used to be outside every hour of the day. There was this muslim fella who used to talk to us each time he saw us outside. He used to preach and i looked around and i could see everyone's faces. Some of my friends got angry. Some of them listened and took his words to heart. I have nearly lost my life five times. I'm not sure why i am alive and most of them dead. But i used to do alot of bad things. One day i just had enough. I was tired. No more i said to myself. God please help me. I wanted my soul to be at peace. I had enough. I was tired. I was done. I looked up what time the prayer was. I went and entered the mosque. And for the first time in my life i felt true peace within myself. I felt free.

I was lucky. The prison i was in there was a large group of lads from the same estate as me and the surrounding area who all stuck together and watched each others backs. It's almost a pride thing, one of us isn't going to get violated because that makes us all look weak. But if we guard each other, we all become strong. The Muslims were the only other group who did the same.

Subhanallah, now if this was the case in places like Yamen, Syria, Iraq, and many more, where all Muslims united against oppression, we could’ve achieved so much. But Inshallah, one day there is going to be one ummah under Islam.

This is true I m from albania 🇦🇱 and when I was in prison in 1995 in Greece 🇬🇷 we were small in numbers and we had differences within us but as soon as any of us get trouble from others we all would join and protect each other and we would be so violent to the point where everyone open way for us so there was no chance for anyone to touch any Albanian

Why were you in prison if you’re a peaceful law abiding man with faith. In fact why are there any Muslims in prison as they are non violent, loving and peaceful.

I've been in prison 7 times over the course of 20 years, I saw this alot, I'm now a Muslim of about 10yrs I converted a few years after being released on my last sentence, I never wanted to do it in jail cos it felt fake, but if you need protecting there's no better choice

This is true even in states. I was in detention center for over 3 days after my ex-wife accused me of some rubbish just so she can get her papers and stay in this country. As soon I asked the guard for time, he automatically assumed it was for prayer. Basically I was naive and didn't know I was in celly with guys who were in for long run and when they saw me pray too, no one messed with me and everyone was super respectful.

He is right. Many moons ago when i was abit of a bad boy i ended up in prison. There i was visited by a Turk a Morrocan an irish bangladeshi on my first day. They all walked in i was eating my cereal and stood up with my spork thinking im gonna have to kill them all with it😅 but 1 of them said Assalam Alaikam akhi and the entire room temperature came down. They showed me the masjid and got me to start praying. Other times we would all hang out in 1 cell all brothers cramped up in a small cell. The guards thought we were planning a riot lol we would just gather for asr prayer. That being said i always tell youngsters to stay out of trouble. A man is not created for the cage. You would litterally fight the walls trying to break free like a trapped animal. Its not the place to be. There is constant threat and you can smell murder in the air. I always had muslims from the top of the wing looking down to see if we were safe. But it only takes a second for you to get splashed with boiling hot syrup that sticks to your face and burns your skin off as you try to wipe it as i saw many guys get infront of me. Reason why i mentioned all this is because i dont want anyone to think if you are muslim its ok the brothers on the wing will have your back. You are still on your own. Do not mess up

Muslims look after each other. But I have noticed that they do that to people who aren’t Muslims too. I went to a Muslim man’s shop one day to buy a few things. My Bank card couldn’t work, the weather was so bad and going home and Back would have been difficult. The stuff I bought was worth £20. He had seen me a few times in his shop. He told me “brother,take it inshaallah you will bring me the money” 😳! I couldn’t believe it, I went home and that evening made sure I came back to bring his money.

Search for the truth, read the Qur’an, Bible, Torah, Or any "holy book" from any religion, open your heart and mind to accept the truth wherever it is and compare them and stay away from bias, fanaticism and pride. The Prophet Jesus or anything close to him, and there is no copy of them in the original language, which is the language of Jesus and his people. It is said to be Aramaic, Hebrew, or Arabic, and they are all Semitic languages, and certainly he is one of them, but the oldest copies currently discovered are in the Greek language, and even this one I am sure you have not read, if you want. Reading the Qur’an is simple. There is only one copy from the time of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, to our time, and it is in Arabic, the original language, but there are translations in all languages, and you can read the translation that you like.

I presume this means that you can assess the truthfulness of a Prophet by looking at his life, actions and his followers. Do that with Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and you shall see that he would forgive his enemies in Mekka who persecuted him and his followers for decades, he prayed several times at day and night such that his feet would swell from the time that he was standing reciting the book of God and bowing and prostrating to him. He ordered his followers to believe in only one God and reject all idols, he ordered them to at least pray 5 times a day, to give charity, to fast and to do the pilgrimage. He ordered them to be just and kind, he is nothing but the epitome of morality that a human being could ever reach. He ordered them by reciting to them God’s word and by speaking to them in his own style, inspired by God. Read about his life and you’ll realize that he is the healthy tree with the healthy fruit Jesus, peace be upon him, is talking about.

In HMP Brixton on Eid day we went to the Mosque and we’re just getting ready for prayer when a S.O senior officer stepped on the Prayer mats with his boots he was warned about it and he walked away so we carried on with prayers and then 15 minutes later he stepped on the Mats again then all the Inmates picked up chairs and one Old Guy’s walking stick and battered the Officer till he was Screaming “I’m Sorry I’m Sorry “… I thought that the Officers we’re going too come and stop the prayer and the Eid Meal wasn’t going to happen because of this but nothing happened and the officers just said sorry for the way the other Officer behaved and that was it we carried on with Our prayer and I was just shocked?.. It’s the first time if seen Respect given to inmates in this way ?…

I don't hold any religious beliefs but if I'd have to face a long prison term I'd most likely just leave my rational thinking at the prison gates and convert. If it gives you structure and community it seems like the best way to survive long term.

@@pierzing.glint1sh76 It could be beneficial sure but there's one problem. In my view religion is not an accurate description of reality but a reflection of the different cultures they emerge from. That's why theres not one but many different religions that keep emerging throughout history. I just don't think we have the answers to the questions our religions are trying to answer. In short I don't believe and I'm sure that humanity doesn't know. I just live my life admitting that I will never be able to get all the answers because it's beyond our reach and I won't fill those gaps of knowledge with a belief system. Should there be a God that would put me in hell for not believing something without evidence then that's where I belong

The prophet Muhammad (salalahu a'alahi wa sa'lam) said: This ummah meaning the whole Muslim community is like one body if one part hurts the rest of the body will feel the pain and discomfort so if one Muslim get hurt the whole ummah should feel the pain. It was due division that Palestine was lost. Arabs rebelled against the Khalifah of the Ottomans. Muslims should never fight their leadership and especially not through betrayal. The Middle-E trusted the British Foreign Office than the Khalif. Even if the Ottomans were not good toward the end, they protect the integrity of these lands. Divided you fall. But not all was lost ad some family got rich...like the Saouds.

It was a colonial age empire ruled by Muslim sultans. The khilafah ended with the mongol invasion of Baghdad. Not the first world war lol It was also a dying empire the European powers sustained long enough towards the end to make sure its viyalets, became so poor that they could not put up a fight when the British and French came in. And the ottomans were doing to their viyalets what European powers did to Africa. Draining its people and resources and making constantinople a wonder city.

One of friend from Bradford, Christian lad. He went to prison for 5 years and came out as a Muslim. He was protected by the Muslims in the prison and got helped by them. Eventually he converted to Islam later on
