Only heard of good things for those G series turbos, good job and great content
👍👏 great video as always. 💯

Thank u
It’s a dynamic aero system that is controlled via the oem ecu, so when he brakes it rakes the angle so you can brake less and flatten out on straights
We have put both genuine g25 660 and g30 770 into a stock frame turbo setup late last year, they work good,

It looks like the Instanse 5656rs will have better low-end response than the g25-550 with 0.92 a/r turbine housing?
👍👍
What whp you believe would see in a fully built 2.2 evo x with a g30 660 0.82ar?
I have a 2010 ralliart and was wondering what tephra v3 to use for my 2010. It is not listed on the website.

For none listed , contact tephra , or bench a different year
I for the life of me can't figure out this 4th cylinder misfire I keep getting only at idle on my Evo X. The car drives fine and I don't hear a misfire. Sometimes it will go lean at idle for a short while and then go back to normal. I swapped coils, spark plugs, new O2 sensor but I still get a miss at idle. What else am I missing, fuel injector maybe clogged? They are ID 1050s running 93 octane. Thanks for any input you may have!

Check codes, log front O2 voltage , tune ltft, check for leaks , switch injectors from one cyl to another, clean injectors, use temp reader to see runner temp on the exhaust. Is where I would start. But always an option to take it to a evo shop.

Tune tur fuel trims of ur car
Papi alchemist I'm about to do s2 cams Do you recommend I do the magnus exhaust mivec delete? And if I do will I lose some spool? Currently on a 3576R gen 2 stock frame but later on move to a T3/T4 setup and go to a xona turbo no bigger than a 60mm like a 7164s
@bdalchemist
Жыл бұрын
#1 u should be coordinating with ur tuner/builder in stuff like this. You don't wanna give anyone any excuses to not achieve ur goals. But if I were building and tuning u, I would get rid of the exhaust mivec.

How do you think this g25-660 compares to a gtx 3576r in terms of spool and top end potential?
@bdalchemist

This spools alot faster , and probably get 600 whp out of it.
Love the content man, just curious. Which turbo is better (spool wise) for the same amount of Max Flow Rate, Xona or Garrett? Thinking between Xona 4951S and G25-550 for my build. they flow roughly the same 49lb vs 50lb

Physically xonas are smaller for the claimed air they push. They are also lighter.

How do you think a G25-550 would compare to an MHI18K spool wise?

Have you guys done any evo x's with g30-770s? And if so hows it's compare to pt5558's in terms of power and spool?
@bdalchemist
9 ай бұрын
Not the 770 , but the 660. It's fast spooling , smaller then the 5858 similar power. I prefer Garretts over precision for reliability
How does the spool of the G25-660 compare to an MHI18K?
@bdalchemist
Жыл бұрын
I would say same, I haven't noticed any difference.
Very interesting one. I’m on the gtx3576 gen 2 and the spool feels a bit slow but this g25-660 looks like it comes on nice and early and can hold the boost up top. Can this turbo hold ~28-29psi to redline at 8k rpm?
@bdalchemist
Жыл бұрын
Probably, but wagate has a lot to do with it. The gtx series is different aero completely , a lot more efficient. But honestly at $6k+ cost for kit and turbo , I would do a stock location gtx kit over this for stock block.

@@bdalchemist been doing my own tuning and keen to understand when you quote boost numbers are those the peak numbers, numbers nearing redline or kinda like average over the run?
With a built motor, do you think the G30-660 could make peak power up to 8500rpm or would it fall 100-200rpm short?
@bdalchemist

Can't tell , no one I know who has a built motor runs that. But in paper with larger cams it should loose boost , but maybe not hp. Tuning has a lot to do with it.

hey man, I love the channel. I’ve been watching it a lot since i bought a evo 9. and the guy that had the car before me obviously hasn’t modified but the tune really fucking sucks. They tuned it with tehpra and trying to fix their tune is a nightmare in my experience with the software is actually pretty rookie because I mostly deal with Cobbs access port Honda to flash pro or standalone systems. my question is, do you have a decent base map that maybe I can buy from you that will give me a better starting point then what these guys did from evolution dynamics ?
