Can you do a video showing how to install a pick-up and and how to connect it with the amplifier..

The pickup I recommend most doesn't need any special installation. I should do a video later on it as currently I have lent it out to a student. It's called "The Band" by Headway. I'm t literally velcros around the instrument so no damage is done and it sounds great. Then it's a standard 1/4" cable to the amp/speaker. Here is a link to it. amzn.to/438YWxj

Looking for a good rig to go with a NS NXT or an NS CR electric violin. Have many of the same goals you have. Looking for natural tone or warm tone (not like an electric guitar). Would like to be able to change the octave to have it sound like a cello too. Believe you recommended the Fishman Loudbox for part of this, but I got confused on the pedal parts. Can you list your current basic rig for the specifications I mention? Not looking to do gigs. Just want to be able to play at home and have a good warm tone (not too bright). Thanks

I am sorry for the late reply. As far as tone, Some people like the more synthetic sounding violin, but I want a natural sound too. The Fishman Aura changes the tone into a more natural sound with "imaging." There are cheaper pedals (Look for IR pedals) that you can load into it an image to help mimic the sound of a violin with a microphone instead of a pickup. FOr the cello sound. I have used quite a few things and now like the DIgitech Drop. It is easy to use and gives a clean sound. The POG pedal tends to make things a bit too boomy on the low end for what I like. As far as the amp, I wouldn't worry too much about getting the Fishman, but it is a nice clean amp. I use a Bose now because it's battery powered and still have a nice clean sound. Then lastly, having some equalizer can help give you the tone you're looking for by shaping the treble and bass.
