    There is soo much to love about this short! At first I was vibing to another "very talented" violinist. Quickly I realized he was playing my new favorite artists song. Than I finally read your vids text and I jumped in ❤ for your whole being and intentions! Go Vote! (🗳 Kamala)

    Pog2 vs pedalboard: how do you power the Pog2 ? And you do sound fantastic

    Thank you. On this video I was powering it with a Strymon Ojai. I just recently got a Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 3 Plus to have some more spots.

    The black part that the screen goes across is stuck in a position closer to the tuner itself. I can’t seem to move it. What did I do wrong?

  • @ShawnBoucke

    I'm confused as to what part you are talking about. Feel free to send a message of needed with a photo, but if you could describe it more I could help.

    @@ShawnBoucke the black part that the string crosses over and sits on was stuck so I thought lol even though the tuner itself felt loose apparently I had not loosened it enough. Everything is OK now this system is totally different than any other, but I still like it and thank you and I like your videos keep going.

    @@ShawnBoucke my bad, I didn’t loosen the tuner enough so it stayed in a fixed position that actually broke my string lol but I think I figured it out. I just didn’t loosen it far enough.

    This is interesting. I’m a classical musician and have noticed that rock guitarists talk about pedals in terms of a “sound” (although they always call it “tone”) or as a means of inspiring themselves. But in the examples you’ve given, you’re talking about pedals in a musical or compositional way. This was clear in your example of using the violin to play the Bach cello prelude or the using the looper to play the Pachebel canon. (I’m less sure about the use of the fuzz pedal.) The Fishman Aura was remarkable in the positive effect it had on the sound of the violin. Enlightening and intelligent! Just great!

    I've used both, and though I was initially excited about the PB, (- and the PF does have some clock sounds and questionable bypass)- I still think the PF sounds better.Less artificial and stilted, and because I'm not really using organ type sounds or the Fuzz( I have several that are much better), I'll just put in back in the bypass loop I had it in for years.( I tried the PF + version, but prefer the original there as well) TBH, over several decades and a lot of pedals, MXR never make the cut,- but I was hopeful this time.

    Have you found a violin stand this can sit in without tipping over? Or wall mount

  • @ShawnBoucke
    @ShawnBoucke6 ай бұрын

    I have used a regular wall mount however, it is a bit scary without the pegs to hold it in place a bit more safely. My partner got me a custom made stand, which was fantastic however, did not incorporate the shoulder rest as being on it so I constantly had to take it off. What I did most of the time was just set up the shoulder at a certain angle and rest it like a tripod just setting it on my desk. That worked great except the sponge part wore out pretty fast right at those spots.

    Are you able to install octave strings without modifications particularly a low f?

  • @ShawnBoucke
    @ShawnBoucke7 ай бұрын

    Totally. The only issue that you might find is the string thickness going through the top of the instrument. If they don't fit through they would just need to be widened a very little bit, or just forced through. It's often just the silk wrapping that causes it to be too thick. The "tail end" will be perfectly fine.

  • @ShawnBoucke

    That's exactly why I explain at the beginning that the purpose is not about the cost of the pedals, but why dedicated pedals are used in comparison to multi effects. I review multi effects shortly too and review their benefits.
