Some people take driving lessons for weeks in a manual, take the exam in a manual and still stall after getting their license and this chick who is unlikely to have ever driven a manual is suddenly a master of the clutch. Common sense says he would have taught his daughter self-defense after getting custody from his ex wife who let her follow the oldest band alive U2 around Europe when she was 15 years old which led to her getting kidnapped and sold into sex slavery.

I remember watching this movie in theaters & being the only one that busted out laughing at the fact that she was indiscriminately throwing grenades throughout the city

I am amazed that the movie ignores the fact that his daughter would have terrible PTSD. When I first saw this, that was what stood out to me the most. People that go through experiences like that would take YEARS to get over it, if they were ever even able to, but she just acts like a normally ditzy teenager. +1 sin for that!

The moment I watched this movie, I spotted one big sin that I was waiting to see if you would catch. You did not. OK, so in the beginning, he is teaching his daughter to drive. In the big chase scene, she drives a foreign car that is manual transmission. She would not be able to pick up shifting with a clutch that easily. The car would've stalled out because she has no idea how to drive a stick (the car in the beginning is only available in an automatic). *Ding*

Ahhhem: I do recall her saying something along the lines of being able to drive but the test being the problem Therefore failing a test because of an arbitrary rule does not mean she is incapable of driving a car. why is Neeson's character the only one who feels like an actual person in any of these? i can never feel sorry for the other two because they're such static characters. he might as well just be taking care of two well-trained dogs who are always getting dognapped or whatever.. at least the delivery of the lines would be better. Well the daughter only had a couple minutes of non-kidnapped screen time in the first one so not much time to develop her character in that one but in this one yeah they probably could’ve done that a little better

This is a prime example of why some films should not have sequels.

The film makers wanted to make Istanbul shitty so badly they even bought/replicated and used old 70's police cars instead of modern ones. They tried to only film women walking around in burka's (99.9% of them being Arab tourists etc) Not to mention the Albanians have crescent moon tattoos and it's so obvious they did their best to cast people that look as dark/middle eastern as possible.. Fuck the piece of shit that made this movie

When it happened to a family member, i had to take note on how long she was having one and had to tell the paramedics when they showed up.

You should have also sinned the fact that she went from "I can't parallel park an automatic" to a manual rally car racer in no time flat! Also she throws the grenades like 200 yards. that adds 4 more sins! You could even do a bonus round for every drift. Also nobody ever reloads in this movie, apparently the infinite ammo cheat code is on until the last scene.

A. He can’t sign it unless he writes up a contract sinning it and gives his John Hancock B. There ARE people who drive much better in a Manual. Especially if she’s naive to automatic. Actually not knowing auto doesn’t help you point that she wouldn’t know Manual. C. Manual cars have much better drift,coast and maneuvering control as you can shift and need to focus. D. It was mostly cuts so we didn’t see everything. For all we know Brian was working the stick and telling her when to pump the clutch E. She’s secretly seeing a boyfriend and admitted she was good enough for a license. She conveniently failed but then looked like a great driver. For all we know her Boyfriend taught her in his manual car and Kim purposely downplayed her skill in front of Brian so he didn’t question who trained her. He clearly didn’t and we know Lennie didn’t Only people that have never driven a stick assume it’s harder than automatic.

Ugh they got a 30 year old woman to play a 16 year old girl.

It's not her fault that she looks that young. But I get your point though, they could've easily hired an actual teenager for the role. However, they wouldn't have been comfortable showing her nearly naked in a thong (first movie) and then with a half open shirt showing her chest in part 2 if it had been an underage actor. And I'm sure there's something illegal about all that? Idk that's how I see it lol

A prequel is a movie that shows an event before the original movies timeline and is made after the first movie of the series is out. So, taken is not a prequel, since it was the first in the series.

No. The worst has to be War Games 2. Even though it's a sequel and WOPR gets to be the hero, it's basically the same storyline as the first but with a different AI going nuts.

I'm three minutes in and I haven't heard "discount Dos Equis guy" about the bearded antagonist! You had one job Cinemasins! XD

I will readily admit that Taken 2 wasn't nearly as good as the original, but I still enjoyed it. I heard they're going to make a 3rd one, and I'll probably like that too. I enjoy movies where a parent goes to incredible lengths to save their kid, and the first Taken movie is the ultimate example of that (although the unrated version makes a little more sense).

The film makers wanted to make Istanbul shitty so badly they even bought/replicated and used old 70's police cars instead of modern ones. They tried to film women walking around in burka's (99.9% of them being Arab tourists etc) Not to mention the Albanians have crescent moon tattoos and it's so obvious they did their best to cast people that look as dark/middle eastern as possible..
