How did you learn Vegas?
I've been doing video production since middle school, and in Highschool I started using Movie Studios to edit with. I went to College for Video Production Tech and weren’t happy with the “industry standard” editors I used there. I’ve used VEGAS ever since.

Every single render codec explained...except for AV1 lol. You sound like you've been doing this for awhile. Good on you for sharing what you know, but you accidentally skipped over probably one of the most important codecs. I can tell you don't know what it is too because you called H265 "the future". You're in for a treat. H265 is not the future. It's the past. AV1 is the future. Basically everywhere is implementing it to replace H264.

@@TechDiveAVCLUB I just wish your information was more accurate about AV1, HVEC, AVC, etc. But otherwise, your editing tips are a little more useful. :)

I don't like that you complete skipped over what AV1 is and how good it ACTUALLY IS. It's just not a codec, it's really high quality that is small in file size but maintains REALLY GOOD quality and is what KZread uses for VP9 which is part of that high quality format. Sorry, you just glazed over it like you really didn't understand that. Please consider doing some research over AV1 before just "skipping" over it. Also, AVC/AAC isn't a "miracle" format. In Fact, because it "throws away" information, you end up with a LOWER quality video, as opposed to AV1, or HEVC which is a high quality video format in MP4 but maintains the same video quality as the preview in Vegas Pro. Please consider doing a revised video about these formats. Thank you! :) Also, you have some misinformation. KZread DOES Support HEVC video formats, basically H.265. So you can upload that, or AVC if you choose. Again, this video, from my own research, has some errors in it that need correcting.
I use Sony vegas movie studio platinum 12 and it crashes with my windows 11 laptop sometimes. Which vegas pro would you recommend for upgrading and which one can open my movie studio platinum 12 files. Thanks
12:14 correction, KZread does take HEVC/H.265 and AV1/VP9. Again, you have misinformation that needs correction.
