Do you work for Magix and or Vegas?
No I do not. I am, however, affiliated with them, which means
I get the software for free and get a kick back if someone buys through my link.
Why do you like VEGAS so much?
It's the right price; it's really powerful; it's ahead of the game sometimes.
How did you learn Vegas?
I've been doing video production since middle school, and in Highschool I started using Movie Studios to edit with. I went to College for Video Production Tech and weren’t happy with the “industry standard” editors I used there. I’ve used VEGAS ever since.

Can I ask something? I have Vegas Pro 18. But I read somewhere that Magix was planned to change the business model for Vegas Pro at some point and that a "Vegas 21" may not be planned at all. Should I just pull the trigger and buy Vegas Pro 20? Is there a definiant difference between 18 and 20 that it's worth the upgrade price? Do you have any insider knowledge of the future of Vegas Pro that you're allowed to share? Please let me know and thank you in advance!

Question! Unrelated to this (sorry!). Could you guys make a video about using a different aspect ratio than what you shot? For example, I filmed with a 16/9 ratio, but would like to work and render a video in a 4/3 classic ratio. I can get there by doing a custom size in properties then manually cropping every clip to my desired ratio... But there has to be a better/simpler way. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Short answer is to adjust the aspect ratio of similar clips on the track. There's multiple faster ways. I'll try and make a tutorial soon

@@TechDiveAVCLUB thank you! That'd be awesome. At the moment I'm doing a copy/selectively paste attributes, but still requires doing it to every clip. Seems like you should be able to set it at the whole video level somehow (since I'm using 3 tracks). Tried using adjustment tracks, but that didn't cut it either.
