Back then we appreciated the hell out of him. Such a shame we couldn't see him fight Jones. I mean, he would lose, but Jones would fear those hands.

Unreal he went from fighting in welterweight or whatever to heavyweight and still able to one punch ko natural heavyweights an absolute freak of pure strength will be sorely missed 😢

The cut to WW hurt him real bad. He was just too big. He had no business even trying that. I wish he was always a LW. What power, probably the most power I’ve ever seen.

When I first started to watch the ufc in the early 2000’s he was a smaller guy then, but he was knocking people tf out! RIP Rumble, was an honor to watch you be the sandman for and put grown ass men to sleep for years 😢❤

Some interesting stats for those that don’t know: Anthony Johnson KO’d almost everyone he ever won against in the UFC. (Minus Phil Davis who he manhandled) That’s 12 knock outs! He only got “KO’d” once in 2007 by Kevin Burns and that was an eye poke that never got overturned near the beginning of his UFC career... He also KO’d him in the very next fight, which was a rematch less than a year later. No wonder everyone feared him.. It seems like his kryptonite was that rear naked choke, he lost 5 times that way- twice to DC, the second time being his final match. Rest in peace Anthony. 🙏🏼 I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say we would have all loved to see that Johnson/Jones fight.
