I love when people say Brock wasn't doing any damage with those short shots on Randy while Randy is literally flopping around on the floor trying to figure out what dimension he lives in

Randy had no shot against Brock's ground and pound but he did last about 10 shots longer than most would.
Stipe vs Cormier 2 is my favorite, Stipe was getting pieced up badly until he started blasting DC with body shots near the end of the 3rd round. One of the best mid-fight adjustments of all time.

I was coming to the comments to say this exact thing and point out those same two idiosyncrasies. Another weird, fever dream element was how, despite that event occuring very much after the previous entry (which still looked like a UFC event sorta) it seemed 50yrs older. Between Randy's tights, his out of shape/in shape body being in a pro sport and everything else, that's gonna be the sort of footage that makes the past look inexplicably weird and dorky to young MMA fans watch in decades from now. Y'know, like literally every video of sports in the first half of the 20th century.

I absolutely love that Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez fight. So much aggression from Lesnar and so much patience and skill from a young Velasquez. The way Mike Goldberg says “flying knee from Lesnar!” always takes me back to the excitement of seeing that fight live on PPV.

Really tired of people crapping on Lesnar's legacy... The dude was a legit threat in the cage and he was past his prime at the point and still got in there and competed with a top 5 all-time heavyweight in Cain Velasquez

@@MichaelBrown-rg8oi Well he was in his prime during his UFC run. The thing is he was diagnosed with mononucleosis and diverticulitis after the 2nd Mir fight. @@MichaelBrown-rg8oi It's the idea of what if, I think. People love to talk about how much of a beat down Brock was getting from Cain, but he hit Cain was some decent shots. Imagine if he had really had time to develop his skill and didn't take so much time off almost dying.

The ufc is extremely scummy with that kind of thing in general. They never pay any homage to fighters that pass. The only thing I'm aware of that they've done for anyone after passing away, is the guy who made Tapout, his name is on the fence when they're in Vegas. The ufc is a corrupt monopoly that could care less about its fighters.
