    @@kingpure9771 Yeah they both did, but Dan was a world class wrestler, a very very good one, while Chuck was not. Chuck had very good take down defense, and was also very good at getting up when taken down. Dan did take some guys down at times, but Chuck could never really do that. Chuck was always standing up. Dan vs Chuck would have actually been an insane fight. Someone would definitely get KOed. They would both be fine standing with each other.

  • @RMichaelHimself

    @RMichaelHimself

    Dan wasn’t THAT anti-wrestling. I get you guys’ points but he isn’t like Gaethje or Chuck where it’s only purpose is to keep it standing. He uses it offensively in several of his fights, especially his greco. Look at this video… his KO of Oyama chained his right hand and body lock TD seamlessly. It’s towards the end kf the vid. His first fight against Shogun, he landed a double leg at a crucial moment in rd 4 to arguably secure the round and the fight. His Anderson title fight was basically all wrestling, even won him the first round off a body lock takedown. The KO of Shogun was set up by his greco… it actually came off a break similar to DC vs Stipe 1. His fight against Shoji in Pride was all grappling… it’s the second to last finish shown on this vid. And his fight with Nakamura was almost all grappling, he finished him with GnP. Heck, now that I think about it, his wrestling was a huge part of his career. Later on, as he got older and less nimble, he definitely fell in love with the H bomb. But look at all his crucial early fights. The Rampage title fight in UFC was almost all wrestling, even though he lost a close fight (oddly Rampage’s grappling made the difference there). His Newton fight to win the UFC tournament back in the 90s. All his pride fights contained extensive grappling. Etc

    Henderson beat the two best heavyweights of his era in Fedor and Big Nog. He walked around at 206. If he cut weight like most people he would have been fighting at welterweight.
