BJ in his prime was a force of nature. He was like Rickson Gracie meets Manny Pacquiao for a good while.

Had BJ Penn actually trained and put effort instead of relying on Yes Men and his natural talent, we might have seen the GOAT.

I'd pay $100 just to watch them roll. BJJ world champion against best wrestler in 155 history. I'd give the edge to Penn on the ground because I've seen him get the better of Matt Hughes and GSP who are much bigger men and all time great wrestlers

BJ stepped up and went three full rounds with a prime Lyoto Machida who weighed in over 205 lbs, Machida had just knocked out prime Rich Franklin with relative ease and Penn only lost by decision. Imo the most impressive feat ever by a fighter who was a true 145 lbs. I'd like to see Khabib step up and fight any LHW much less a man who went on to be LHW champ and competed competition for the MW belt and actually banged GOAT Jon Jones up a bit before he sunk in that guillotine. Khabib has never faced but one man who will be a hall of fan and that's Conor who had stepped up weight classes 135-45 being his true class. BJ broke the nose and battered GSP even having him tied up and punching him in the face when the buzzer sounded ending there first match but somehow George got the nod BJ said i went and had a beer George went to the hospital. That's WW GOAT GSP. Khabib won the title fighting unranked Al Ianquinta who was given a days notice. How does that happen? I know all about what happened that week buy that still doesn't mean one guy who has been preparing for months gets to fight an unranked fighter for the belt who had a day notice. And it went the distance. Please.

4:22 The way Penn used those short ranged kicks as a distraction to sink in the choke is just great stuff! Not sure if I’ve seen any recent fighters today use it in the UFC today. Penn’s flexibility, and with how he used it, was what made him so successful on the ground, and to add on to that whenever he’d mount his opponent he would slide his leg underneath their waist, possibly to stuff ground passes from the bottom.
