Carlo wasn't the right fit for Everton. He got the best out of what he had but he isn't a team builder. Everton need a manager who will be there for five to ten years and build something. Frank Lampard is a perfect fit for that sort of opportunity. He'll make a tonne of mistakes along the way, but he'll also learn and improve. It's more important than ever that Everton fans cut him a bit more slack than they've given previous managers. They're highly likely to be hovering above the relegation zone again for much of next season and it will be really important the fans hold their nerve and don't turn on him. If they do hold their nerve then, there's no reason why Everton can't be a champions League team by the end of the decade under Frank. If the fans don't hold their nerve, they'll end the decade in the Championship under Wayne Rooney.

Ancelotti mentored Zidane in his first short stint. Zidane is a good manager, but consider that he actually implemented or more or less followed similar formula or what Ancelotti showed in those first few years. Zidane came back to RM for the 2nd time but he couldn't win it again. *BUT* Ancelotti came back to RM & won 2 more UCL title. Consider that.

Would not be surprised if we find out in a few years this UCL season was rigged or set up. Madrid win the cup after losing multiple knockout games and coming back in the last seconds of the 2nd leg. Those teams probably all got paid to suck in the final minutes of the 2nd leg.

From an evertonian I can say that for me it is mainly envy over anger, there club has been run the right way over the years where as ours has been a shambles meaning a lack of success. When family's can be split both blue and red it's hard to hate your enemy or I should say rival but that at present is just wishful thinking!
