I love the song. I should not mention it, but Amy Lee's voice, although pretty and perfectly on tune, is too delicate. She is overwhelmed by her own piano playing, and the band is even more dominating. Whet we need here is a Grace Slick or Patsy Cline to really sing this.

Involving the crowd really adds to the song, and it helps her turning it from something difficult into something stunningly beautifull.

Psalms 119:155 “Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.” (Many souls(unsaved souls), believe falsely and pray in vain). Mankind is filled with UNSAVED SOULS (WICKED SINNERS). That`s why there`s a calling to REPENTANCE and to BORN AGAIN: Luke 5:32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

This song is almost 20 years old now and came out when I was in my early 20's. It's a song that defiantly hits harder now. Back then, it was just a great song, now it's a powerful song. I can now relate to the lyrics, but not towards a specific relationship, but towards my memories, moments, and my mind. The older we get, the more memories hurt, not just the sad and/or bad ones like losing a loved one, but the good ones also, like life never being as great as it once was, as certain moments will never be experienced again like they were when we lived them. My memories are slowly killing me as I can't let go.

I'm probably the same age as you. I've recently learned that we will still have better experiences as life goes on. Very recently, I had some that I was able to recognize as it was happening. It's kind of bitter-sweet. Because as it was happening, I was thinking that life will never get any better than this one moment, and was dreading it coming to an end. It hurt afterward, but I'm still happy that I got to experience it. Who knows? Maybe even better will come our way unexpectedly

The ever humble Amy, seen looking back at her band at around 1.33 on the video can be seen looking back an mouthing “WOW”. Seems she underestimated how much her music and lyrics touch us all.

Hah, I'm not sure if you're trying to do one on me, or you're just that, out of reach, stupid! When Vevo uploaded the video, they've multisampled and altered with the audio for it to sound more clean and cutthrough.

The most powerful and comfortable voice in female singers! Amy I hope there is never an end to hearing you sing, hopefully I can experience live and in person! Beautiful vocalist, and a kind heart. God bless you Amy! Oh, and the band evanescence is good as well lol.

I wish music was always like this. This is a beautiful and emotional song, one to make you cry. This song would be looked past by, and not appreciated if it came out this year. But to me and many others, this song would be gold. I wish music was made like this in our generation. Instead we have Work by Rihannah, Wiggle by Jason Derulo, and Panda by Desiinger. Why is our generation so fucked up? I wish someone could answer that question.

That's the kind of music being consumed these days. Lyrics and song structure are sacrificed for "Bass Drops". But there is yet hope.

Most of us do. Music stars like randy Travis, Josh Turner need to come back everywhere. Not just certain areas. People don't like it. I'm part of this fucked up generation. I'm 16 and this music is awesome. Love it!! I would stand with all of you that is not part of this generation and changing the music. 😀.

Back in about 2008, I had the privilege of seeing Finger Eleven and Chevelle open for Evanescence, and it is still my favorite concert. Amy Lee definitely does not lip sync, and her energy on the stage is amazing. Would love to see Amy, Pretty Reckless, and Halestorm, that would be my dream concert. 🥰
