LOVE THE SHEARWATER... Definitely my favorite VIBE kayak for good fishing, BUT I enjoy the SEAGHOST better for rivers with shoals and big rocks.. I live local so this is a regular trip for me. That float is also my family's favorite. Getting out on the rocks past the garden, at the island and playing a while is always our spot to have lunch. Beyond Neal's is even better fishing. Especially since they started allowing so many access points. The drunk tubers all summer long have done our river no favors.

I hear ya about the tubers. I'm also a local and haven't yet done the stretch down past Neal's. Every time I get a plan or group together to do it. It always falls through. Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it. If ever your looking for a river buddy, look me up on Facebook. Have a good one!

I like this float is a good one. Fishing is usually pretty good, for a challenge though try the next section Nell’s to grizzard park. Around 16 miles my brother and I usually get done in 10.5 to 11 hrs that’s fishing pretty heavy. Not a lot of people do it so fishing is good not pressured like other sections.

I've wanted to do that stretch for a while now. But something always comes up. May give it a shot this weekend. Thanks for the info.

I hope you see this 😅 I did this stretch a few years back during covid, and we were not prepared. When we got to Neal's landing, I noticed a sign and a map, so I decided to read it. The info it included was beautiful to me 😂 it read that it was a 16 mile stretch with no public boat docks to get off and that majority of the river was lined on the side by cliffs pretty much and that we would be experiencing level 3 and 4 rapids. We went at night 🤦🤦🤦 not knowing ANYTHING about that stretch, well once you get a fair ways in there's a stretch between Neal's landing and gizzard park that's about .5 miles long and is low rapids, and rapid/rough/choppy moving water the whole way through it. By the time we got to this section, it was pitch dark outside, couldn't see anything between the darkness and the fog 😅 needless to say I had loads of fun, not quite the case for the other 7 of us that went that night 😂

@ThatGuyWithTheFish1460 it's definitely a long stretch, I actually have a pre-planned route for it on Google earth 😂. Don't start late in the day if you plan on doing it lol
