Another Great Video James Love your comment to the SR22 pilot, doesn’t say much for his speed management in the circuit even in something faster than you! The FBO’s everywhere seem great at each location, such a great country to fly around and these places make it so much easier. You are really lucky.

Yes, Charles is smart kid. The Yellowstone Cauldron is, I believe, the largest active volcano in the world. As a point of trivia, my great grandfather’s company brought the logs for the Old Faithful Inn, using team horses. I’ve gotta quit yapping. Good night.

I live just south of Dubois, Idaho. I drove big truck for 20 years before I broke my back and this looks more like Wyoming. And I’ve been over Togwotee Pass more than you can count. It’s beautiful county. We live on the east side of the Teton mountains. So Teton National park, Yellowstone, highway 26 are some of the most beautiful places on earth. I think I missed your way out of Nevada County, but I will shortly be able to say I’ve watched all of your videos.

Oh and between us guys, Teton means booby. There are three Teton peaks, the largest being the Grand Teton. Our secret. Those look like Jackson and Jenny lake. They are in Teton National Park, just south of Yellowstone National Park. If you, Dianne and Charles want to see them at ground level, let me know. I’m a good, I never claimed to be great (except for my wife. I’m the only one she’s been with, so she believes I’m the best) tour guide. If you’re not proud, you are welcome to stay here as well. Jill is a better cook than any chef. She makes great homemade gravy with lumps and everstuff. This is the most beautiful place on earth. That’s why it’s known as God’s county. We rock crawl with jeeps, Toyotas and buggies too. You all would love it. I’m hoping my buggy doesn’t sell, but if it does, I’ll be looking for a Ercoupe, because of my broken back.

I can close it tight if i want, but it’s nice to keep open for ventilation. No rain comes in through the gap, there appears to be a low pressure area over the center of the canopy in flight, keeping any rain out.

Just a typical question from one pilot to another, how much is avgas there now? In the UK it is somewhere in the $9.00/Gal US for 100LL, cheers! The service there is amazing compared to here in Europe, in flight and on the ground! I got my US Cert at a place called Chester County Airport KSNC in CT. We booked into the hotel and I went in search of an airfield to rent a plane and do the check flight etc. I met a man in a pair of scraggy old jeans and a black t-shirt, who turned out to be the pilot of the Cheyenne Air taxi, my kind of place! After a coffee and a chat I had a sectional to go and study before the check flight the next day. We flew to Hertford CT taxi'd over to the FAA office where everything was ready. Sign here and off we go back to base, noting the massive difference in mad variation!. The plane was a good C152 @ $45/hr wet. FAA charges were zero, Landing fee's at a Gatwick size airport, Zero! When we were back at base I asked for the bill. Bruce said, "you can pay when you are going home"! He said he knew which hotel I was in and he was happy! We did quite a few hours around CT and NY State, including the low level route over the Hudson when the twin towers were still there, landing at Teterboro to get new batteries for the camera! Great memories, note to self, must find an excuse to go back to the States after this batflu is over! One last point, if ever you are ever in Buenos Aires, go to Tolosa airfield in La Plata, I hired an old straight back 172 wet for appx £60/hr with a safety pilot (the procedure to validate is not impossible but about a month). They have a website with current prices and even a pic of the plane we flew, LV-GRU. www.aeroclublaplata.com.ar/ It is a huge country with an amazing variation of scenery, great food and Malbec! 🍷🍷 Cheers and safe landings.
