Love your Corran. Super pretty.
Hello Selma, good to catch up with you and glad to see your wrist is healing well. Thanks for taking us along to Knit City it looked glorious! Best wishes to you from UK❤
Good to see your arm is healing well. I've been binge-watching your last few episodes, confined to barracks with heat and smoke/air quality warnings here in central Alberta. I'm still knitting...with fans on full force! GREAT to see Rose Hill yarns from Alberta there at Knit City Montreal. I've visited their booth here at local yarn festivals and hope to see them at Fibre Week this weekend -- Olds College, Olds, Alberta. Best place for western Canadian yarn -- from Custom Woollen Mills to Rose City, to Ancient Arts (sometimes) to Hand Maiden...and more! Oh...and I actually found some Nordic yarn in my stash -- 3 balls of DROPS Silke-Tweed that is eons old...and have decided to make a pair of socks for the Nordic KAL, using Nancy Bush's pattern from her "Socks on the Road", inspired by a visit she made to Denmark. Thanks for the inspiration! May you be in full knitting form again soon!
Selma, So glad your wrist is healing nicely. Thank you for sharing snippets of your weekend in Montreal, fantastic. Take care. 🤗

Hey Selma, ooooooh i love your Projekts and the colours .. im very happy then you shaw us your meeting in Montreal, many fine shops with lovely things ... the bustier in the end of your film is soooo beautiful ... i wish you all the best from your illness ... Viola aus dem Schwabenland
Loved every minute! Thx for the videos. Your cardigan in beautiful! I too have bigger arms and have avoided drop shoulder for this very reason. What a great idea to destash with other knitters. I used to knit with a lot of worsted weight and now find it is too warm and now using more DK. Can’t wait to see the baby cardigan the colour is gorgeous.
Hey Selma your knits are so precious and your wools that you are making future sweaters with are so nice … you look beautiful in pinks for sure I watched Mel make her outfit fir Montreal on her episode … she looked amazing in it Happy you had a great time with all that wool … good conversation with friends Glad your arm is mending !!! Have a great week 😊💝🇨🇦🇨🇦

I am thankful for you being back in Canada and happy that your arm is mending well. Take it easy, there will be always the next summer. Hopefully you will be at your normal lightening speed knitting for the fall🤞
Selma, I wish you get completely better soon. Lovely baby cardigan in green. Nice to see you shopping in my area in Montreal. Nice to see some footage from knit City I missed because of Covid.

@@littlebigknits Yes totally better now, Thanks !
Coffee and knitting with Selma! A fab start to my Monday morning!😘😘😘
You mentioned aches in your forearms and that you were traveling a lot. I notice when I traveled recently that hoisting my suitcase on and off conveyors and planes and trains I probably strained my muscles and joints doing that! It may not be from knitting at all! Heal well! Love your podcasts.
If you are disappointed in the way your buttons sag on your sweater, either wrap the shanks, or (Probably better) use a supporting button on the inside.
What fun to join you vicariously in Montreal! Your newest knits are as inspirational as ever and I hope to take part in the Nordic kal as I have a pretty good supply of Nordic yarns as well as some great pattern books. Will have to get thinking about it! Thanks for a great podcast once again!
That is a beautiful, unusual mug. I love and buy hand made ceramic mugs, but most of them are too large/heavy for my mother to use comfortably. I think the style pendulum may be swinging back soon and I can buy more soon.
I always enjoy travelling vicariously with you, Selma. I'm planning on making the Corran cardigan so I noted your wrist problems with interest, especially as my current project involves a ton of cables and bobbles and my wrists were pretty sore too at first. It's a bit of an argument for non-monogamous knitting! I'm glad to see your broken arm healing well and that you're able to get back into your knitting more. Take care x

That is very true!! Had I been working on a few things at the same time, I might not have developed the repetitive strain!!
The baby cardigan is precious! So darn sweet.
Your Corran is absolutely beautiful 🌷 thanks so much for sharing 💗
Thanks for the great content, always inspiring. Good luck with your physio, you are doing very well a month post surgery. I actually don’t like knitting with cotton, really hurts my wrist. Knitting for Olive silk is lovely and I like the finished product, but again not a comfortable knit. Thank goodness I love 100% natural wool. 🥰

Glad to see that your arm is healing and you are knitting. Love seeing Knit City with you and your friends.
Love that green baby cardigan. .gorgeous ❤
Selma, your wrist is looking really good. So impressed with how much you are able to knit. I could only do garter stitch for several months last time I broke my wrist. Love your new Corran cardigan- it looks great. I am just finishing the back of mine. Hope to finish it in the next week or so and start wearing it over the summer. Great haul from Knit City and destash.

That Corran cardigan is simply beautiful, Selma! What a perfect yarn / pattern pairing 😍 I want to make a summer version but alas I don't think I'll get to it this summer as I also was delayed in starting my summer knits. Next year though! And I have so enjoyed seeing Megha, Mel and your podcasts on KnitCity Montreal! Talk about some serious FOMO! Your three-way yarn swap was the highlight for me! Such a great idea! In the end I didn't even get my passport back in time but since it's gonna be in Toronto next year and I still haven't been, maybe that's a sign I should attend :) Hoping you're back to full knitting strength by the fall 💜

Selma, I am so sorry that bike riding is nixed for you this season. Your FOs are well done. Thanks so much for explaining how you figure which size for the Ranunculus [I've done one so far in DK but want to do it in fingering, and it was a mystery to me]! Keep on the road to healing. I'll be happy to hear when you are finally recovered. 💕

I am unlikely to be at rhinebeck unfortunately but certainly at KNT!!
Glad you’re mending…and you’re still knitting! When I feel those repetitive pangs coming on, I will switch up my knitting style since I knit both continental and Portuguese. They use different muscles and it is real helpful to “shake it up”. Lovely cardigan; pattern in my library❤️

Very glad that your arm is getting better. Your taupe Corran is so expertly knit! I agree that cotton and/or linen yarn is very hard on hands, wrists, and forearms. My Corran is knit with BC Garn Bio Balance 4 ply 55% wool / 45% cotton which was surprisingly quite comfortable to knit with. Terrific episode as usual. ❤
Wishing you quick healing. I love how you present all your ideas, but also talk about how some things just dont work out....so true! Thanks for sharing your knitting and videos!

Thanks for another nice episode, chock full of knits and adventures! Depending on when knitcity Toronto is, I might drive up, I have 4 very dear friends there of which one is a knitter. Sending more healing vibes!
Thank you for a lovely podcast. I'm from Den ark. BC Garn was established in Den ark (Kolding) but was sold som years ago to a German compagny.
Your cardigan is so pretty! Have you ever used clear backing buttons behind the buttons on garments? I do this for all my knit cardigans. It means that the knitted fabric won't be taking on the strain from the regular buttons. Your trip was delightful! Thank you for sharing the experience. I'm happy that your wrist is healing.

Glad to hear that your wrist is healing well. I too have just finished a Corran cardigan, which is the same style as yours, V neck and 3/4 sleeves. Although I didn't get any pain, I did take a couple of long breaks from it to work on other projects. I think you are right in that the extra movements of the lace work especially in cotton can create a problem. Mine was in a merino cotton mix so not quite so unforgiving as pure cotton. After watching your podcast, I was reminded that I too needed to go back and fix my buttons. My vogue knitting book told me that I needed to reinforce the buttonholes and that's what I'm doing, especially as this is a gift knit. I want to knit one for myself, maybe for next summer. Enjoy wearing yours.

Hi Selma. Have you tried doing Essentrics exercises (designed by Miranda Esmond Whilte) instead of yoga? I signed up for a free trial and felt so good doing it that it is now my "almost" daily practice. The workouts often include range of motion exercises for arms, wrists, and fingers too. Maybe give it a try? Glad your back 😊

I finally started my Ranunculus and I made it down to the lower body where it's just knit, knit, knit. You are such an inspiration. For the Ranunculus that you are making with your new lavender yarn from Your Next Knit, can you actually do it with only 656 yards? Four skeins? If so, what size needles are you using? I went over to the Your Next Knit site and purchased the Cotton Cashmere like you have so that I too may make the Tolsta Tee. A wonderful lady that I watch all the time on Simply in Stitches is also make this Tee so I could I not join in. I got colors 62 and 55. Woop!

Healing is always a slow process, but I'm very happy to see you're getting better and very close to be well again. As for the right wrist, mine gets stronger by crocheting cotton in small projects like amigurumi.
