🔥 EPIC DAY/NIGHT 4WDING - Towing 7M TRAILERS through GROOTE EYLANDT (Australia)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The boys are the FIRST EVER to tow 7M TRAILERS through stone country to reach the remote traditional lands of Groote Eylandt, in the middle of the Gulf of Carpentaria (Australia).
Most people spend their entire lives not being able to visit this stunning region, but the boys are privileged to have been invited by the traditional owners and hosted by Constantine for a few days of fishing, camping and learning about the traditional ways of the locals.

I spent eight years living and working on Groote up until 2012. Some of the best friends I ever made are still there. I still miss the landscape, lifestyle, and fishing, every day. Genuine tropical paradise. In the early days of my tenure, non-indigenous residents could buy a yearly land permit, giving access to all but the most sacred sites. Later on, these were revoked and unless one had a bond with the Anindilyakwa mob, (the Mamarika, Wurramarrba, Bara Bara, Amagula, and Lalara families were a good start), you were confined pretty much to the bitumen. The fishing around Groote has to be experienced to be believed and a short boat trip will bring you to the Walker and Koolatong rivers on the east coast of Arnhem Land. Groote must have been in consideration for the highest boat ownership per capita. some folk I knew of had as many as five. I was privileged to spend a term as president of the Groote Eylandt Sports and Game Fishing Club. Great memories.

Wow. As a nomadic Aussie from the south these remote areas up north make me really appreciate this island we call home. The sacred sites call me and feel like home. Forget the cities and lean up against a tree as often as u can. Thank u for sharing it with us.

Hello from America. Just thought I'd say howdy & to say thank you for sharing this video. One of my dreams was to be able to go visit your beautiful country, but this will be the closest I'll ever get. So thank you very much. It's very beautiful there from the looks of it from the video. Where I'm at, we have serious mountain tracks to traverse on our four wheel trips, it's always a challenge, there's rivers, ponds, mud, ice, snow, pretty much you name it, we have it. Montana is where we are from. Lived a bit in Washington as well, both real mountain states. Montana has more snow, while Washington has some serious rain at least nine months out of the year. Well thanks again & ya all have a safe & great time.

needs more swampy with big tall bar tread ag tires meandering thru some wild untamed tracks and walking all over the place without a care in the world. TL;DR that night driving on a track vanishing into the darkness was hectic and rough and twisty, i like.

The "G" in "Groote" is not pronounced as a G in the word "gut". It is pronounced as the sound of the ch in the word "loch" pronounced in the correct Scottish way. Also interesting to see TO's very much westernised by the clothing they are wearing.
