Question if I'm trying to build a system that's going to multitask like live streaming with audio and a separate audio such as Ableton live recording audio separately also and using a different program to push lyrics and presentations all at once would an threadripper system do better or would an Intel system do better at multi-processing for what I'm doing

Wow! I woke up to this post today and it was like you were looking over my shoulder! I just started assembling a collection of parts for a new build (based on your previous videos), and I was pleased to see a build with pretty-much everything I was considering. Your videos taught me well! You mentioned the case and a possible airflow issue, and the only difference in my design was to look at using Thermaltake's CTE 500 or CTE 750 Series which allows lots of airflow. Side note/request: I noticed you adjusting voltages during your benchmarking part of the video. This is new to me. Could you possibly do a more detailed video on adjusting these settings, and how all this works for creators? -- both for CPU and GPU ... and possibly undervolting? I'm more interested in reducing power loads and protecting component reliability instead of overclocking for gaming. Other video creators all seem to make adjustment for gaming and pushing hardware limits which doesn't really work for me as a creator :) Thank you for this video!

Hey Lauri great video! I saw some settings on your Intel(R) Extreme Tuning Utility I never tried before by limiting my CPU power to 260W, I was able to completely eliminate thermal throttling. This not only kept my CPU cooler (max temp around 80°C), but it also allowed me to push my RAM overclock further! I managed to get my 4x 32GB DDR5 modules all the way up to 4800 MHz. Overall, my system feels much faster and more responsive (I got a 15% to 20% uplift :). Huge thanks for the clear and helpful guide! (P.S. With the RTX 3090 and the super-fast Samsung M.2 SSDs, my PC is a beast now!)

Nice video, I got the white Tcreate ram sticks with my z790 livemixer which makes the look blend in more. I also think your cooler performace is bad due to having a glass blocking it on top of the case, maybe test to see if there's a different in performance if you remove that glass.

Good video and amazing looking build. Can you maybe do real tests in the futur, not just benchmark. Like a big project with a lot of nod in DR including NR or multiples projects with different resolution and codecs (BRAW, R3D, AVCHD, Prores Raw ...). How fluid is it to scroll the timeline, can you add a lot of GPU intense plug-in, what's the export time... It will be good for editors to not have only syntetics benchs. I know this a lot of efforts but look at the length of your videos, maybe a little less hardware-focus and more user experience ? Thx

I've been using this motherboard for over a year, and the great thing about it is that you can actually fit 6x M.2 drives (2 via pci-e adapter), saturate it fully, and still have your GPU running on full 16x, the only "downside" is two (out of seven) SATA ports switched off. So if you're an M.2 fool like myself, I highly recommend this MB.

Recently i have to pass on this information, I have a 5700G and a 4070, and I have racked my brain thinking why the Davinci Resolve benchmark was extremely low. Love your videos and your insights about creators pc and where it really doesn't matter about the branding, I want to point out that beyond the ROG branding the reason that the card itself is really good is because the have a special GPU board design in house so it is the only one that is actually different it can push harder and it has better cooling configs However i will say this if Asus could give ProArt the same thing and let them design a board that is different and not the same as tuff maybe they could get different results

Have you tried PARSEC? a desktop such as this one or with possibly more RAM and Drive space and speed (if needed) could be used remotely with PARSEC. Using a cheaper macbook (than the m3 max) or windows laptop or tablet remotely and be able to edit videos or play games without lag almost. It is amazing. Of course one needs internet on both ends to work, but I think only the desktop would need to have strong internet connection, the laptop accesing remotely I dont think it would need a very powerful connection. And one could even access it with a handheld pc such as the asus rog ally that fits in your pocket! Good times for tech

The Mac is benchmarking that high on 25 watts on battery. (Mac benches the same plugged in as it does on battery) the custom build is pulling up to 1000 watts. Set that intel cpu to 35 watt max power draw and benchmark that lol.

@@MrAnimescrazy I do admit that this “EPIC $3000 Content Creation PC” was done in Good Taste, even though he admits he overspent by 50%. But to answer your question... Remember that a Computer is Only a Tool that is Interfaced to the real world through Input Devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Internet (WiFi)...) and Output Devices (Monitor, Printer…) where the User can interact Usefully with it (preferably without distractions that inhibit its use). A Computer Case which is solid metal, for Practical RF Shielding/Interference purposes (Glass/Plastic is not an RF Shield), and Only a Box (think Tool Box) to Safely hold the Active Components of your computer and protect them from Unwanted Interference or Physical damage. Its Only Openings are for connections to External Peripherals and Vent Holes for Cooling Air to Enter and Warm Air to Exit. The colors of these cases are typically Subdued as the Case is Not the Focus of Using Any Computer. Also that Bright Primary Color, Lights, Whirligigs..., such as are Loved by Young Children, Visible from the Case would Distract Users from the Practical Interface Devices and Interfere with Efficient Usage Of The Computer. Pimping something became most familiar with the MTV show “Pimp My Ride”, where peoples cars were taken and Modified with Hilariously Useless Accessories and Color Schemes to be laughed at by the More Rational Audience. Pimping a Computer is Derivative of this with the totally Impractical use of... Window(s) in the Case (clear, tinted or other treatments) to see internal, RGB Lighting (usually changing color and moving like a Child’s Whirligig), Logos (usually lighted)… and needing unnecessarily neat and decorated (sometimes also lighted) cables, Light Panels, Status Displays (that can be displayed for free on your monitor if/when needed)… by Users who prefer Form Over Performance. The Extreme of this practice is called Modding, where external decorations and 3D additions are added to the Tool Box/Case. Some try to rationalize this by quoting “De gustibus non est disputandum” which is Latin for "In matters of taste, there can be no disputes". Typically used to defend all things with Bad Taste, but is unnecessary since Good Taste needs no defense. Good Taste is seldom achieved as people have a tendency to add too much causing the item to resemble a Whore House, tying in the first word “Pimp”.

26:23 you cant have it all. the card, board etc are made for GAMERS. You want "clean" then go with ASUS ProArt or something like that then. Yes I can't help it myself that I prefer the look of these "gaming ones", but I am not gonna throw a fit about it because at the end of the day, they are made to target the gaming community, NOT creative/content creators, there are product brands for that.

People are making good $2,000 builds with RTX4080 super. For $3,000 I would expect nothing less than a RTX4090. Does this build look aesthetically pleasing? Yeah. Is good value for price-to-performance? No.

Complains about the word "Gaming" being on a GPU, then purchases and installs an over-priced, very gaming-focused GPU. There are plenty of GPUs out there without the word "Gaming" written on them. If you want to stick with the 4070 Ti Super, Gigabyte's own Gaming OC has some RGB lighting on it but doesn't have the dreaded word "Gaming" - and it's over $100 less than the one picked for this build. Same goes for the Asus ProArt 4070 Ti Super. For $100 more than you spent on the ROG Strix card, you can pick up a PNY 4080 Super Verto OC. No RGB. No "Gaming" written on it.

@@theTechNotice I did. I commented because I found it bizarre that you'd call GPUs with "Gaming" on them cringe, but then choose to purchase such a card and install it in your build. Your final build is very good looking to be sure. Personally, I'd have spent my budget a bit differently, but that's the beauty of PC building :).

Fun fact, if you go with a basic ATX mid-tower with fans included, you can probably fit an RTX 4080 into that budget. Because this has like €600 worth of freaking fans. XD
