Ғылым және технология

In this episode I finish the main motor plate and get started on the electronic test bed.

This was an option that was really knee’ed. well done.

Fyi, I've used windshield wiper motors for similar tasks in the past and they are imo superior. Not only are they cheaper, but the motor is a lot more powerful. You need a high amperage PS but other than that, they are better than the ones similar to yours.

I did look at a range of motors and I needed something small to allow the knee to be as low as possible. The torque calculations suggest this small unit is easily enough but I guess we will soon find out!

Got initial wiring done and very basic code. Speed control, fwd reverse, limits. But I can stop the motor with my hand. Driver might be current limiting or torque specs published might be optimistic. I think it will still lift it but sounds strained and noisy. I’ll think about options

@@routercnc9517 hmm, yeah could be current for sure. May have missed it, but what's the maximum amperage of your driver board?

Driver spec is 2A max. I tried running motor direct from 24V and similar torque (subjectively) so not that. See next video for an update and some testing!

@@routercnc9517 oh wow okay. Yeah then the wiper motor won't work at all. That thing needs like 10A. Alright, excited to see what you come up with
