Thanks. Should have gone with this to start with! Much quieter, smoother and more power.

Maybe I should make clickbait thumbnails rather than ones which show the content! Also other KZreadrs seem to plead with everyone to click like, subscribe, comment, share, ring the bell etc. I don’t like that as I think the audience already know that. Anyway, I’m enjoying the process of building and filming so I’ll carry on! Thanks for watching!

You never know what people are going to watch. I can spend hours, days, weeks on a video on it gets 1000 views. Or I can do a quick review of my air compressor and get 20,000 views!

I learn more from your videos than any of the others I watch, thanks. One day I hope my CNC will be half as capable as yours :-)

Thanks. Overbuilding the machine seems to have made it last cutting all this aluminium. Would be nice to have flood coolant then I could cut more than twice as fast without risking a cutter stall out.

8:19 Hmm I’m concerned the shaft of the bearings will come loose over time. I would have used a glue to be sure it will stay firmly in place.

It’s a valid concern. As you will see in a later video these thin bearings are very sensitive to installation loads and can bind up. That is why there were a light press fit. Once all the parts are fitted the bearing should be held in place. Hopefully this will be shown in a future video. Thanks

Just re-read your comment. The main shaft will also be held in place with the final parts (not shown here)

Why not mount the stepper motor underneath the bench with a longer shaft up thru the base of the drill press!

Yes that could work too but it would then block the drawer under the worktop.

I wondered if anyone would notice! That was 10-15 years ago when I designed, built, and flew RC aircraft. But family and work mean that hobby is on long term hold. One day I’ll get back to it and see what has changed in the hobby.

@@routercnc9517 it stood out like a sore thumb! I have a few, same hobby, all mixed in with home CNC, amateur radio and a few others:)
